Big Money Brawlas: Insane Clown Posse Talks Wrestling

Wrestling and ICP go together like a buttery fromage and a vintage bordeux so it was only natural that our resident wrestling fanatic and editor-in-chief, Chris Radtke, talk turnbuckles and top rope with Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope.

Who Lights Up the Ring According to ICP

Radtke: "Big wrestling fan man, we’re brothers here. Who’s doing it right, who’s doing it wrong and how does it get better? What have you been enjoying?"

Violent J: "I personally, I don’t think Shaggy enjoys as much wrestling as I do..."

Shaggy 2 Dope:
"Yeah I’m into it, but I haven’t been following it lately. J defiantly...everyday..."

Radtke:
"Come on J, commit to me, man."

Violent J: "Of course, the best promotion to the world is the WWE. They’ve entertained me since I was born. They just do it right. Whenever they do RAW, they light up the arena red. When they do Smackdown, they light up the arena blue. When they do their new show XMT, they light up the arena orange. You know, just little clever things like making the arena look differently for each show. Giving them their own theme and color. I know everyone hates them and says f*ck WWE, but they are the kings of the game. They’ve got it in lock and everyone is always going to watch.

"I love TNA too and I love the fact there’s a TNA. I love that there’s another place for wrestlers to go. If you quit WWE or get fired, thank god there’s somewhere else to go. When Vince McMahon owned it all, there was nowhere else to go. It was like a monopoly of wrestling. Either you’re wrestling in a High School Gym or you’re wrestling in Madison Square Garden."

Shaggy 2 Dope:
"Yeah and that’s the bottom line. Every wrestler that’s in the game, that is their goal to get into the WWE. Hands down. Even if they are a run in. They get that call from WWE, forget about it. They’re going into the WWE. That’s every wrestlers goal. One hundred percent."

Violent J: "I love watching TNA because they have Hulk, Flair and all of these old-schoolers. That’s what I love. Anything that can have me connect me to my childhood."
