The Walking Dead Midseason Premiere's Best Moments

The search for Sophia is finally over, but now the survivors have to face a whole new mess of problems.

The Walking Dead is back, and the first episode deals heavily with the aftermath of Sophia's death. The group spent the first half of the season searching high and low for the little girl (especially Daryl), but it turns out the wee one was within arm's reach the entire time. Rick failed to protect her and Sophia joined team zombie.

Since getting a taste for brains and human flesh, Sophia was captured and is being held in the barn right on Hershel's property. Shane went crazy and rallied for them to slaughter the residents of the barn, but couldn't man up when tiny Sophia emerged. Rick took responsibility for this tragic loss and ended her suffering by putting a bullet through the child's head. But that ridiculous and amazing ending left us with many questions and wondering how certain relationships will go from there. Thankfully, this episode answers a good deal of them.

Where's My Bro?

Dave didn't seem like a very trustworthy fellow, but there's little reason to believe he was lying when he said he had people he had to look out for, too. Did these allies of Dave and Tony know where they were heading, and if so, will they investigate when he doesn't return? That could spell some massive trouble for Rick and his friends when these rival survivors find Tony and Dave with a few bullet holes in them. If these other people are any bit as sketchy and trashy as Tony, then Rick and his friends better gear up for one hell of a throw down.
