Have you heard that LOST is ending? Yeah, me neither, I had no idea. But Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse, executive producers of the show – and writers of most of the major episodes, including the finale itself – were in New York City for a talk at the Times Center and we got a chance to chat with them.

We talked to the pair – affectionately known as Darlton – about their legacy, how the show will play in the future and just why everyone keeps bothering them for spoilers. And in case it doesn’t come through on the below video, the dudes are smart, funny, and are well aware of what their show is, and what it means to fans.

Except - and this is something that happened off camera that perhaps demands repeating – stop asking them for spoilers. A reporter right before me was asking them about what will happen to Kate, what’s up with Aaron, who will live, who will die and they started to get pissed. As they do state in this video, LOST is, and will always be about the characters – not the plot – thou

So as we get towards this weekend’s finale, don’t look for Darlton to answer every single nagging question (though they did reveal there will be an extra on the season six DVD where they clear up everything, in order – probably jokingly). But do look for them to tie up the character’s story arcs in a way that they found satisfying – and hopefully the audience will, too.
