One of the things that makes a powerbomb so nasty is the period in which the recipient is falling freely through the air. So, how do you make it even more painful? Increase the distance that a person has to fall, of course.
In a back body drop, a charging wrestler is flipped up into the air, their momentum sending them skyward, where they flip around to eventually land on their back. A flapjack is similar, but the receiving wrestler doesn't flip around and lands on their chest and face. Don't think it sounds dangerous? The Great Khali inadvertently caused the death of another wrestler when delivering a flapjack in All Pro Wrestling in 2001.
