American Horror Story's Creepiest Moments Part 5

Anyone who's been keeping up with American Horror Story knows that The Murder House didn't earn that name lightly -- A LOT of horrifying murders took place within its walls since Dr. Charles Montgomery (Matt Ross) built it in 1922. However, in Episode 9 (titled "Spooky Little Girl") we learned that one of the most infamous -- and most brutal -- unsolved murders in history happened there: the Black Dahlia murder. While the real life case remains open-ended, in the American Horror Story version, we find out that a young, down-on-her-luck actress (cameo appearance by Mena Suvari) visits the wrong dentist, who gives her a lethal dose of anesthesia during a routine procedure (after raping her, we should add). Panicked, he drags her corpse to the basement, where the ghost of the good doctor Montgomery helps dispose of the body by hacking it to bits and draining its blood. We later see the woman return in the present day: after all, when you die in the Murder House, you can never leave.

The ghosts of the house are buzzing about the impending arrival of Ben (Dylan McDermott) and Vivian's (Connie Britton) twins, and none seem more excited than Chad (Zachary Quinto) and his partner, Patrick (Teddy Sears). While decorating the nursery of the Murder House, the two get into a heated argument with Violet (Taissa Farmiga) and Tate (Evan Peters), leading Violet to ask medium Billie Dean (Sarah Paulson) how to get rid of them. Billie informs her that she should steal one of their possessions, burn it, and say the word "Croatoan," citing the "Ghost Colony" of Roanoke and the spirits that were trapped there. Unfortunately for Violet, the trick doesn't pan out, learning from Chad that she can try any spells she wants, the ghosts of the Murder House are the ones in control.

The entire season has been leading up to this moment -- the delivery of the Harmons twins. Over the last few episodes of the series, viewers learned that not only were Vivian's twins fathered by two different men (Ben and Tate), but one of the babies was quite possibly the antichrist. After being discharged from the mental institution, Vivian is desperate to deliver her babies as far away from the Murder House as possible (Florida, specifically), but on the way to the airport they stop to pick up Violet, and Viv goes into labor while Ben goes in to get his daughter. She's ushered inside by Constance (Jessica Lange) where the ghosts of Dr. Montgomery and the murdered nurses help bring the potential apocalypse-bringer into the world. Unfortunately -- and not surprisingly -- things don't end well for the Harmons afterwards (more on that in a bit).

After her boyfriend Travis's untimely death, the LAPD finally get suspicious about Constance, considering all of her family and associates have either vanished or died mysteriously. And although she had nothing to do with her boy toy's murder (we'll get to that soon), we revisit her husband Hugo's death and how she disposed of the body. It's pretty gruesome -- let's just say a rusty meat grinder and a basement full of hungry dogs made quick work of her womanizing ex.
