Boy, it's a tough week to be a TV fan.  After all, we live in a world where TV shows regularly fall under the axe of cancellation, and yet Two and a Half Men lives on under its new star Ashton Kutcher.  What a world.

With their Upfronts next week due to announce the fall schedule of programming, both NBC and ABC have taken to confirming the cancellation of series left and right, and boy has this season been brutal.

We already learned the grim news of FOX's round of cancellations and NBC passing on Wonder Woman, but now joining the list from NBC  are The Event, Perfect Couples, Outsourced, and the previously renewed Law & Order: LA.  However, Deadline has noted that The Event may find life on another network after being shopped around

On the positive side however, the network opted to renew the struggling Chuck for a fifth and final season, also sparing Harry's Law, Parenthood and of course its main roster of Thursday night comedies.

ABC hasn't been any less brutal, giving the axe to V after its second season, as well as No Ordinary Family, Mr. Sunshine, Off the Map, Brothers and Ssters, Detroit 187 and Better With You.  Granted, none of the programming lost from ABC or NBC were hugely rated or reviewed, but it's a hefty lot to fill for the Fall.

But good news!  ABC decided to pick up the re-boot of Charlie's Angels!  Groan.  Maybe the world will end on May 21st after all.

What say you?  Will you miss any of the dearly departed from NBC and ABC, or is it good riddance to bad TV?  We promise not to cancel your comments below!  Stay tuned for the latest!
