Star Wars: The Phantom Menace's Worst Characters

Star Wars Episode One: The Phantom Menace only grows more horrid with age. We list the eleven worst of its many lame and wasted side-characters.

The original Star Wars trilogy was filled with tiny characters whose varied designs both drew you in and gave you salacious details about the saga's larger universe. The prequel trilogy, on the other hand, was filled with a bunch of bland CG monsters and slumming actors that no one could raise much enthusiasm over. With the release of Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace in 3D, we look back on the film's most unheralded worst characters.

Ben Quadinaros

Ben Quadinaros was another one of the racers little Anakin was up against in the podrace sequence. He never got the opportunity to race, though, because his podracer engines blew up the moment the race began. That means this fat-faced alien is such a bad The Phantom Menace character that even The Phantom Menace hates him. Just look at the guy. He's so overly cute and cuddly you want to buy his toy just so you can punch it in the face.
