Film: Van Helsing
Weapon: Lycanthropy
Yeah, yeah, we know. Underworld technically did it better
but watching the all-stars of the Universal Monsters be brought together under
Hugh Jackman is something of a nerd boner, even if the film itself is rife with
questions (how did that wooden carriage with no explosives catch fire and
explode?).
When it comes out at the end that the only way to kill a
vampire is to become a werewolf, it's the sort of reveal that leads to the
inevitable conclusion: a werewolf versus a vampire in a battle royal throughout
a lab in honor of Dr. Frankenstein. Besides,
by this point, seeing Hugh Jackman as a hairy animal with claws is established
canon no matter what he pretends to be.
