Best Movie Ever: Pulp Fiction

I said Goddamn! The eleven reasons why Pulp Fiction is the best movie ever.

Quentin Tarantino's love letter to trashy storytelling altered the pop culture landscape more than any other film in the 1990s. Its blend of comedy and violence spawned countless imitators as did its non-linear storytelling. Sadly, it also brought back John Travolta, so not everything about this picture is so rosy.

The film that brought us golden briefcases and Sam Jackson quoting the Old Testament is now available in glorious 1080p. As we crack open our new Blu-rays, we're reminded that Pulp Fiction is the best movie ever.

Badass MFer

Samuel L. Jackson had been in over thirty films before Pulp Fiction (and had even won a special jury prize at Cannes) but when this movie hit he became a cultural phenomenon. While rooted a bit in 70s blaxploitation, his badass persona as the wisecrackin' tough guy became beloved by pretty much any dude who ever drank a can of beer.

Kangol hats became fashion statements. Even Nick Fury, a comic book character, was redrawn to look like him. With Snakes on a Plane, fans were saying his dialogue before it was even written. He is the highest grossing live action movie star in Hollywood. Indeed, a Badass MFer.
