Vision 2020: Renovate

Vision 2020: Renovate is a capital campaign seeking a total of $400,000 for sanctuary and technology upgrades, a new boiler, and retirement of our mortgage

This pledge campaign will be for a three-year period, beginning January 2017. We’re calling it Vision 2020 because we see clearly how it will prepare us for future growth and greater reach--especially when the campaign comes to a close in 2020.

Community Pastor Jason Patrick talks about the impact of Elgin Vineyard on his childhood and calling to ministry. He challenges all of us, even children, to ask Jesus how he would have us respond to Vision 2020--and to "come closer" to the Lord for spiritual renovation.

    Renovate our lives!

The spiritual significance of Vision 2020: Renovate may be
even greater than the financial implications. The Lord often speaks to us through the natural needs we are faced with.

Is he speaking to us about just a new boiler? Or is he also
calling us to embrace a fiery new work of the Holy Spirit?

Is it just mortgage debt we want to be freed from? Or is God calling us to “owe no man anything, except the continuing debt of love”?

A renovated sanctuary is wonderful, but a renovation of hospitality and love in the living room of our lives enables us to fulfill the biblical call to renovate our community with the beauty of Christ’s word and gospel.

So the one prayer has two goals: Lord, renovate our church building and Lord, renovate our lives!

    Loving God. Loving People.
