What to Expect at a Weekend Service
Worship
We begin our service with about 25 minutes of music, with adults and children alike expressing our love and thanks to God. Feel free to participate or simply listen. We also make room during worship to rest in the presence of God; to understand more of why we do this, please check out our values.
Welcome & Announcements
One way to know about our upcoming events!
Kids Dismissed
Children from infancy through Grade 6 are released to our Kingdom Kids program after worship. If needed, parents may care for their babies downstairs in the nursery at any time during the service. After the worship portion of the service has ended, the nursery will be staffed.
Teaching from the Bible
Our pastor or speaker will deliver a message, applying biblical truth to everyday life. Messages are recorded and made available on our site under Watch & Listen.
Communion
We finish our service by taking communion together and remembering what Jesus Christ has done for us through his death and resurrection. Gluten-free bread is always available.
Prayer for Personal Needs (Ministry Time)
We offer a time for anyone who wants it to receive prayer for any kind of need or in response to the message.
Coffee & Conversation
After the service, people head down to our Community Room to connect over coffee and homemade treats.
A Place for Everyone and Every Family
It doesn't matter who you are or where you've come from, you are welcome at the Elgin Vineyard.
Take a look at some of these ministries for kids, teens and adults.
We care about kids at Elgin Vineyard because Jesus cares about kids. We have children’s programming from birth through Grade 6.
Middle school kids are looking for a place to fit in. Here, they can learn who they are in Christ, be a part of the body and make great friends.
When teens hit high school, they're ready to take on some of the challenges of life. We're here to help them see their lives through the eyes of Jesus and equip them to step up as the next generation of the Church.
Ministries are the channels through which we help people connect, grow, serve and lead. In addition to our children’s and youth ministries, we also have a variety of Vineyard Community Groups and ongoing outreach in the Elgin community.
