Neutron 2 Overview
What is Neutron 2?
Welcome to Neutron 2, the next generation of iZotope’s powerful mixing plug-in. Neutron 2 uses the latest technological advancements in audio analysis and machine learning to provide you with a powerful mixing plug-in for starting and finishing your music with confidence.
The Design of Neutron 2
Our products start with an idea. That idea sparks conversations that echo throughout the hallways of iZotope’s HQ. If you overheard these discussions you might hear questions like, “Does this enable customers to be creative? Does this inspire users to achieve their goals?” iZotopians entangle in these talks because of their hunger for crafting new and innovative audio experiences for you, the individuals who rely on these tools for creativity.
With Neutron 2 we spared no expense to deliver a set of new features that give you the ability to be more creative, visualize your music in new ways, and assist you with better sound. Features like the Tonal Balance Control, Visual Mixer, and Masking Meter adhere to those philosophies and break us out of the typical mixing paradigms that so many of us have followed for decades.
Neutron 2 is the contemporary approach to the age old practice of audio mixing. Our hope is that this product helps you overcome insurmountable sonic barriers and ignites your creative ambitions.
Inter-plugin Communication with Ozone 8
While concepting Neutron 2 and Ozone 8, we noticed that the entire process for most creatives takes place in a single workflow. Mixing, mastering, and audio production all occur at the same time with the same hands. iZotope recognizes that the landscape of mixing and mastering in-the-box is starting to change. With Neutron 2, we give you the ability to connect to Ozone 8 through Tonal Balance Control, which begs the question, “Do these two worlds collide?” Our answer is yes, most definitely.
Cross-connectivity between our products began with the innovation of the Masking Meter in Neutron’s EQ. Neutron 2 is the next chapter of this technology, incorporating communication and control through the Visual Mixer, Tonal Balance Control, and Mix Tap.
