Flat parts making you feel confused? Flat parts, such as washers, present the greatest challenge for centrifugal bar finishing. These parts can stick to the barrel or wick together, so only one side of the barrel gets deburred. You can add glass beads blasting media to the centrifugal bar finishing process. The beads coat the parts, so they don't stick to each other and the barrel. Parts that tend to be coiled together can also use glass beads.
Use of the correct tumbling media is crucial for centrifugal barrel finishing. The wrong media, particularly the wrong geometry, can double the cycle time for parts. Using cones or cylinders for tumbling media when not appropriate can slow down processing time significantly.

Remember to use the detergent. The tumbling medium requires the use of cleaning compound. Cleaning compound acts as a lubricant to keep pores in the tumbling material open. The cutting action of the Tumbling Media will not work if the pores have become glazed. This can cause metal parts to turn black. If the parts are blackened, it means that the soap has not been used.
