The ABCM-1250 CNC beam coping machines have a triple torch design that allows you to simultaneously cut two flanges. Flange thins can simultaneously be performed on top and bottom of flanges. However, weld preparation is done concurrently which reduces operating costs. The ABCM-1250 Ox-fuel Coper is a quick and easy way to cut near the flanges without having to torch probe.
Three torches are usually used for multiple torch or triple torch CNC beam-coping machines. Each torch is dedicated to a specific flange or web. The 3-tower machine has a shorter positioning time than the single torch one, but the single torch machine can still do more cuts than existing triple torch machines because of the 5-axis movement in the cutting head. Additionally, triple torch machines tend to be 3-4x more expensive than single torch CNC beam cutter coping machines.
A 5-axis single torch CNC beam-coping machine is a machine that uses only one torch for all coping. One torch can be used to cope a beam. The torch will cut the web, then move on the flanges. It moves from one end of the web to the other in a sequential fashion. The 5-axis torch can move in an almost unlimited number of directions and places, making it possible for even the most difficult of jobs. The 5-axis torch allows for double miter/bevel cut on both flanges and web, something that multi-torch units are unable to do.
