Relax and enjoy as your USCG Captain/tour guide takes to the water to show you some amazing sunsets and views. While you are enjoying the evening, bring your favorite beverage and/or snacks.
Species we frequently see include a variety of starfish, sand dollars, bay scallops, whelks, conchs up to 21” long, seahorses, urchins, and hermit crabs and other crab species. These animals can be brought to the surface, handled carefully, and photographed. We bring large containers so that even non-snorkelers can observe them up close before they’re released back into the bay. Shells found without living creatures can be taken home.
In the course of your excursion, you will visit Panama City Pass and explore the area where St. Andrews Bay and the Gulf of Mexico converge. Here, there are lots of dolphins, and what’s more, we’ll guide you on how to interact with them in the water.

There are many birds that can be seen out of water. They include raptors like bald Eagles and Ospreys as well as shorebirds like great Blue Herons and Egrets. Seabirds include magnificent frigatebirds (terns) and terns. There are also deer sometimes found on the island.
This Dolphin Tour boat can carry six people, which is a lot less than larger boats with a capacity for up to 175 tourists. Larger groups can create a lot of noise which disrupts the dolphins and drives them away. It is important to note that we can quickly and expertly get you into the water without scaring away the dolphins.
Our Dolphin & Island Tours usually last 3 hours. The departure times can vary depending on the season. We leave the dock at 9:30 a.m. and 12:20 p.m.
The captain will take you to your snorkeling location and help you find seashells. This private tour allows you to customize the way you wish to spend your time.
We can accommodate a maximum group size of 6 per boat, for a maximum of 12. If you have a larger party, though, we can make arrangements with our local partners.
The Dolphin Tour boat is smaller than other larger tour boats, with a maximum capacity of six passengers. This includes children of all ages. The dolphins are often disturbed by large groups of people, and this can lead to them being driven away. We will get you in the water quickly, and, most importantly, we won't scare the dolphins away.
Dolphins are most active at dawn, between 10 a.m. and noon, and from 2 p.m. to dusk. A good pair of telephoto lenses or binoculars can be extremely useful for spotting dolphins.
