This is to quote a friend on the impact the Japanese Tsunami had on Japan Home.

'After Tsunami hit Japan home it was a very creepy place to be as the Japanese people were not talking at all, or was using it as a way to grieve or find other people.

Its just amazing how people are in japan, for example in katrina, the US people were fighting among each other, while out in japan everybody was helping everybody else after the quake.

I didn't touch my account for awhile, as a sign of respect.'

I was really humbled by this as I read it.

Well, my experience was slightly different. I found that most of my Japanese friends were using PS Home to seek a sense of "normalcy" and to stay connected with friends, so I continued to use the JP Home and met with them in the NA Home too.

But yes, I do agree that there's a lot to be said for the sense of unity which the Japanese people have. Personally I think it's a precious gift, and I'm not at all convinced that the "multicultural" societies of the West are an advancement, given how atomized and divided our societies are. One has only to visit the NA Home to see that.
