A couple of the threads on this forum have led to some interesting discussions amongst my friends. It seems that one of the ideas brought forth may in fact be worthy of passing on here. Developers and Sponsors please take note.
It would be nice if there were a space in Home, a museum, showroom, whatever - a location where you could view past, or rare Home items etc. Kind of like a museum. A place which could also highlight the evolution of Playstation and Home as we know it today, with maybe even a section dealing with future goals, user ideas, etc. And perhaps there could even be a section devoted to past and coming games. Sure we could even preorder, maybe.
Anyway, it would be great if we could donate our undesired items there and a raffle or drawing could be held say once a week, or month. People could buy tickets similar to Midway and enter them. Proceeds could go to charities. Users could win the items, charities would benefit, and Sony could get a tax break. Many of us could lessen our inventory bloat for a good cause. Together we'd all make a difference..
Some may say that it wouldn't be fair to those that worked hard to earn certain items, but can the accomplishment ever be taken away? And what about those individuals who did work hard that still choose to donate them? What's more important -trying to prove to someone that somethings been achieved, or actually achieving it?
