Post Fashions Contest?

If YOU were designing a fashion contest for Home, what would you set as the rules?

    Both men and women's fashions?
    Who should be the judges?
    Or - should there be a community vote?
    Should the fashions be off-the-rack (no changes) or something more creative?
    Should the photography, choice of location, and pose be part of the judging - or just the clothes?
    Would you have separate categories of winners ("Most Creative", "Most Beautiful/Handsome", "Best Fashion Picture", "Best Use of Accessories and/or Props" any other?)
    Should there be prizes (like a $20. shopping spree)? Or no prizes?

I personally would prefer fashion shows that were not a part of a contest. Just fashion for the sake of fashion and having fun.

why not set up a permanent runway in a corner of the plaza. im surprised they haven't set up a little display somewhere so you can pose in front of and take a picture, like the christmas thing. just change either the background or the frame once a month. on the eu servers, in their square, they had a ps move heroes display you could stand in front of and take pictures. i still havent figured out why they havent made more use of this system (preset camera in front). hell, do a whole space dedicated to different backgrounds for single or group photos. just drop in something new every once in a while. oops, sorry granny. off topic. but i do agree with joanna, i get kind of tired of 'contests'. i like to show up, do a twirl, and take in what everyone else is wearing. 'contests' kind of make it a spitting compatiton. i love to show up to WOW or just plain shock. lil mouse

The contest idea is not mine, but I have encouraged the people who want to do it because, in a lot of cases, it is the only way to motivate some of the Home residents to try something new. Like the poetry contest. I saw the entries that were posted in the thread in this Forum. Although I suspect some of the entrants had never attempted writing poetry before, the results showed some real effort at creativity.

Also, some people need an excuse (like a contest) before they will risk trying something new. Even at the weekly Fashion Walk, it took some folks awhile to get over the feeling that they were opening themselves up to ridicule by wearing a costume or being creative with their wardrobe.

And, FYI backarch, we have a permanent runway: LFR in the HomeForum. I go there daily (when Home is up) to "show up, do a twirl, and take in what everyone else is wearing". If you haven't been there yet, you are in for a real treat.
