This is a good idea - in theory. However, many of the "smart" companies have already done similar things. A hacker breaks into their system - the company hires the hacker (if the company was lucky enough to catch them.)
The thing that is being overlooked with this theory is that hackers are feeding on the technology, itself. It's a challenge. The "better" security gets - the smarter hackers get.
There is not now, nor will there EVER be a way to "instantly" track a hacker. They have tried. The problem, again, is that hackers are smarter than that. They can ping their IP address off of so many servers that it becomes a web that must be searched.
Personally, I don't know whether to love them or hate them. It's because of hackers that online security has improved 1000% But, they also make you realize that your information is NEVER safe.

I seem to remember something similar happening with the government.I think it was back in the 80's or early 90's when a whiz kid,sorry don't remember specifics,hacked a Department of Defense network and they somehow tracked him down and he "went away" for about 10 years while working for the government.I actually ran into a guy on Home that claimed to have had a similar experience but when quizzed by a rank novice on computers like myself his "hacking" abilities consisted of guessing ppl's passwords by finding out as much as possible about some1 then trying as many relevant words as possible.I'm not sure if the above is 100% legit but the idea has been around for awhile.

And yes i know it's a Guy Fawkes mask but he was basically a mercenary that really didn't have the convictions of his courage.
