Physiognomy. The assessment of someone’s personality and character from their face and facial expressions. For all of Home’s graphical superiority relative to other virtual realities, is there yet room for further facial expressions to better convey social nuance? And by giving users even more realism with their avatars — by enhancing a social aspect of Home — would this help with user retention and average length of session?
Social awkwardness and social anxiety can be crippling. In real life, not everyone is comfortable with conversing in large groups. Not everyone is blessed with the gift of gab. And, in this regard, Home can be downright therapeutic.
