Home Bass

by Phoenix, HSM team writer

PlayStation Home is a place where many have come with dreams of grandeur. Tucked inside their everyday lives are dreams of making it big, even if only in a virtual world.

Some Home residents did more them just dream. With the talent they had and the stores of creativity they possessed, whether through fashion, writing, art and development, or whatever, they didn’t just dream; they did it, and made it a reality in Home.

Home has been a catalyst for goals — and, for some, fruition of realized dreams. Through drive, determination and hard work, Home has seen a good number of residents chase their most ambitious desires until they caught them and are now living them. So, as a nod to those that came to Home and realized a dream, and to those still working for that dream to become a reality, this video is for you.

This is a fictional story of a Home citizen with big dreams of fame in Home.

“Home Bass,” our protagonist, started out working in the Grand Paradise Casino as a blackjack dealer, living in a shabby casino comp room; but he never forgot his dream of stardom. Then one day he got his chance: he was the opening act on a busy Saturday night in the casino lounge. And the rest is Home history. Follow Home Bass on his journey from humble beginnings to the red carpet paparazzi — to the top of the charts and a home in the Hollywood Hills.

This is a minimalist, art-house machinima. But, then, aren’t all daydreams a bit minimalist on detail? What’s important is putting in the work and embarking on the journey. May you find what you’re looking for on your journey.
