The Chicken GAP

by Kassadee Marie, HSM team writer

The cutest dance in Home is now becoming a GAP (Group Animation Pack) dance.

Atom Republic (the first third-party developer to come out with a two-player dance) has come out with their own version of the new multi-player dances for up to eight people. Their new dances all look like a lot of fun, and the Chicken Dance looks to be the most fun. It makes me wish there was a chicken costume in Home. Hmmmm…I wonder how many people I could find with that old turkey costume from Central Plaza?

Atom Republic will soon be offering this, three other GAP dances, and something unique for all of us Home users. The dances are: a line dance for you Country and Western lovers; “Disco Fever” for you 70’s retro fans; and a “Cossack Style Jumping” dance where people dance in a circle. (Great innovation!) They are also offering the “Wave” that sports fans have been doing at stadiums for many years. I find these ideas very groundbreaking and I can’t wait to pick up my bundle(s).

As with all GAP dances, only one users needs to purchase the dances. Once the owner sets up a dance, other people only need to click on the symbol (a multi-colored, spinning ball in Atom Republic’s case) to activate the dances for themselves. I suggest finding a busy space, with some room for all players to dance. Some suggestions for this are either side of the Hub in the dancing area; on the grass, in the center of the Adventure District; or on the wooden floor circle at Pier Park. And, of course, dressing for the dance style would add a bit of fun, too. Home has clothing suitable for all of these styles, from boots to tall fur hats.

This is a great way to meet people, spark up interesting conversations, and just add to the overall fun that is Home. These GAP items are a great idea for parties or club meetings, too. Go try them out.

Home is endlessly entertaining to this California girl. Kassadee has been in Home for about four years, and loves almost everything about it (with a few notable exceptions). She spends way too much money there, and perhaps too much time... Someday she will travel the world and write about the people she meets and the places she sees.
