Futuristic Fashions — Sanctum: Ascendance

by Jin Lovelace, HSM team writer & filmmaker

By now, Home is littered with every assortment of fashions you can think of, from the cultural urban wear and 60’s “disco fever” era to name brands like Billabong and Wrangler, with a splash of Bollywood fashion. Look deep into your wardrobe and you’ll see something that might be missing — an element that has slowly started to become a trend in stores: futuristic fashions.

The trend anything but new, however. Lockwood’s Iron Fusion line features a bevy of quality items to choose from, ranging from dresses to “mix ‘n matchables” with vibrant detail that many tend to whip on certain occasions. Along with Bigyama’s Morocco gowns with a pioneering twist to the modern lines found in the latest boutiques bearing the tres chic style.

The fashion — the design aspects of the clothing — can turn some heads rather quickly, though not by some sense of garnering popular attention but to nod with a quirky look on their faces with a “what the heck” inquiry. And believe me, there’s plenty of this in Home’s society today with nods and ends on different shades of skimpiness (the factions that bear the “baddest female dogs” above their heads and the attitudes to match).

Though futuristic fashions have a contemporary design that allows for some wider applications, oftentimes you have to ask how this sort of fashion can be used as more than a curiosity. Remember, it’s how you design and wear the garments, and I believe (in most cases) this sort of trend is sadly misunderstood these days. Anyone can slap together an outfit and call it a statement; the question is, frankly, what kind of statement is being made.

Enter VEEMEE’s fashion line, Sanctum: Asendance.

Continuing with the passion for fashion that the developer loves to detail, this stellar catalog features innovative lines with a formal finish that you can don almost any time. A night out with friends at the Sodium Bar? The Equilibrium Dress will have you covered with its shapely, sensual details that actually appeals pleasantly to the aesthetics. An added touch to the line are the hairstyles to compliment the formal gowns, with striking results.

Though this is definitely taking VEEMEE into newer levels of fashion, Sanctum: Ascendance will surely leave a refreshing mark to those that desire to boldly step into a virtual nightclub and attract the attention from the ones that’ll turn heads to garner an approving nod that such clothing deserves. And if you wish to see the clothing in motion, check out VEEMEE’s video (along with a stellar look at the latest Billabong release).
