This Week’s Home Developer Content

by Jin Lovelace, HSM team writer & filmmaker

I could talk fashion, how much you need to change out of that skimpy clothing, or simply go on the up and up about such developers as Granzella and Lockwood (which is something I’ll be doing anyways).

In fact, lets talk about Lockwood’s content as of recent; they are bombarding the x7 Club with fashionable goodies that made some heads spin, and this week is no different. To start off:

Masks, Leggings, and Group Dancing!

Masks_210514_1280x720Lockwood’s offering a collection of face wear that could compliment one of your favorite Spring outfits,  your stealthy Ninja costume, or your loud, colorful Rave apparel. Offered in an assortment of styles, these are much different than the collection you find in the Anime section. Some of what you see in the video are inspired by such culture icons (one such familiar face is shown in the Nightmare Yacht), but it seems that everyone has been requesting regular Masks, which aren’t bad at all. In fact, the Gas Mask will call for a unique cosplay idea of Psycho Mantis of Metal Gear Solid fame.

Okay, I’m not going to lie here: I seriously thought that somehow Lockwood had acquired the rights to release Home virtual goods based on the sweet 80’s cartoon series M.A.S.K. Oh how awesome it would be to dress as one of the characters from that show….well then again, lets not. I just had the theme song in my head while writing up this segment and just thought somehow I express it to all.

(Editor’s note: nothing wrong with having the M.A.S.K. theme in your head. At all.)

GAP Party Dance Pack One

GAP_Party_Dance_Pack_One_210514_1280x720As if two-player interaction LMOs weren’t enough to revolutionize Home, you can now have up to seven of your friends (total of eight, including you) get together for some chest popping, shimmy-shaking great time!

Honestly, if you’re the one who started the Running Man train over at the Mall (as I’ve seen a few that would do this) for a social good time, then this pack screams more social interjection. Aside from not ever making any party dull anymore, you can set up your very own fun train, akin to the Soul Train, and play your favorite right, boy.

Secrets Leggings

If last week’s Glitter and Leather Trouser Leggings tickled your fancy, then this week will whet your fashion appetite with three more assorted styles to choose from.

Secrets_Leggings_210514_1280x720The legwear has made quite an interesting impact to a few wardrobes in Home, with the aforementioned trousers being my personal fave. Though you may grow tired of more Leggings in Home, Lockwood’s interpretation of the apparel is anything but an uninspired copycat effort.

So this week is no exception. Three styles to choose from: Ripped, Laced, and Suspenders. Each style pack comes with their own colors and pattern motifs for your designing pleasures. Apart from the traditional, quasi-casual styles of the first release these iterations draw more of a sensual nature, especially with the Suspenders style.

Though I’m not quite sure how to take on the latter design, overall these are definitely worth adding to your closet if you’re looking for new Legging styles.

Sundresses and Blazers by Granzella

20140521_Summer Dress

Summer is just right around the corner, and I’m seriously not looking forward to the sweltering hot weather. However, Granzella returns to heat up the stores with some ensembles of their own, with summer sundresses for women, and blazer and pants combo for men.

The very enchanting strapless sundress set will come in three colors (White, Skyblue, and Lemon) with peep-toe heels and complete with a short updo hairstyle for a ravishing, surprising finish. Stylish and vividly colorful, I’m happy to see Granzella creating more fashions for the season. Well…just fashions in general, really.

Males are treated with a savvy slim-fit blazer featuring a dress shirt with an open collar, classic denim jeans, and lace-up Oxfords. The sets will be available in three colors: Plum, Azure, and Coconut. Though the pants don’t really sit well with me (I’m more into the loose-fit look for a much more masculine touch), the blazers are very handsome and suave. If you think Home doesn’t carry enough aesthetically stylish male fashions, then you’re really overlooking some treasures — and this offering from Granzella here is an example I’m sure you don’t want to miss.

If you’re looking for innovative dance packs, lovely summer dresses, or versatile leg wear, treat yourself this week with this exciting release by two outstanding developers.

Got to feel slightly sorry for the developers currently, having to put out this forgettable stuff. But with no news on the future of home why would you spend time and money developing stuff that was anything more. Of all the items released this year only a few will be remembered
