Element and Street Style Fashions by VEEMEE

VEEMEE has a knack for taking real-world fashion brands, transforming them – accurately — into virtual goods, and introducing them to the PlayStation Home community. Entice, revel, purchase. Wash, rinse, repeat.

With all of the recent fashion praise for other developers in Home, it’s worth noting that VEEMEE has, as of late, been very consistent in this market segment. We all clamor for diverse styles to amass in our wardrobes, and I blame VEEMEE for enlarging my wardrobe to what it is today.

I mean, sure, it’s my fault for taking interest in fashion in the first place, liking the commodities produced, and supporting them for releasing some of the most fantastic clothing on Home. We all want more. Heck, I do, too.

(And you know what? I keep mentioning that my closet has became a black-hole monstrosity, so perhaps I should showcase, in video form, this dark vortex that would suck in all of my clothing when not properly organized and consolidated.)

All blaming aside (with a wonderful smile on my face, mind you), no one can blame the developer for delivering what we desire: opulent fashions and better mix ‘n match styles at accessible prices. When Diesel was first introduced, it was often decried for its price tag, despite being the only real-world fashion brand in Home at the time; one has to wonder if it would’ve sold better had the apparel itself been more compelling.

Thing changed, though, when Billabong was introduced as the next real-world fashion brand brought into Home, also at a comparatively premium price tag. What consumers don’t understand is that licensed anything in Home is a three-way revenue split, instead of the traditional two-way split; hence the need for higher pricing. The catch is that the content itself has to be commensurately more appealing, which is difficult to do in the world of fashion.

Personally, I came to terms with the pricing premium and decided it was time to step into the world of real-world brands translated into Home’s digital medium. Better to enjoy it than dwell on spending $1.25 on an entire outfit, for cheap’s sake. Why not feel extraordinary about who you are, let alone your character? Sure, you wish to be fiscally responsible, but where is the fun if you find solace in just wearing a boring t-shirt, a do-rag, and dingy pants? Where are the hues to offset those deliciously colored eyes that captivate the very beings surrounding you? Instead of sitting in your Volkswagen, singing to the Pussycat Dolls’ cringing lyrics of “Don’t You Wish Your girlfriend was Hot like Me”, don’t you really wish to be that person you’re singing?

I’m sensing a show of hands here that read that line. Good. Because this week’s update from VEEMEE is catering to bring you the latest Street Style and Element fashions that will contribute to making you over to be the hottest person that no other girlfriend (or any boyfriend) could ever be.

(Unless you’re Bayonetta. then I don’t think anyone can ever be you. I mean, ever.)

Kidding aside here, Street Style will be releasing the latest urban apparel and continue along the paths of Spring wear to compliment your loitering in the Acorn Park. Here’s a little exploit for you: the brand is known to publish detailed, quality clothing for just $0.99. And unlike the exaggerated urban fashions of the past in other stores, Street Style keeps the designs tailored to its purpose. And for those that lack attraction to hats on Home, you might find the Peaked Berets to be more appealing.

The latest release in Element’s 2014 series of clothing and skateboard locomotions is available in the VEEMEE Store this week!

Check out the all new Dream Blue Heart to Heart Fleece for women which go perfectly with the brand new Black Dekker Pants. Or if you want something a lighter, try the new White Grow Young 2 Tank Top with the Black Storm Shorts for women. Combine the Sky Blue Camp Grizz Tank Top for men with the Blue Steel Strapped Trunks for a sporty look. All clothing items are available individually and as part of male and female value bundles.

There are also two new additions to the catalogue of skateboard locomotions; the vibrant Tie Dye Seal Deck with Impossible trick and the chilled Post No Bills Deck with Double Kickflip trick.

I laud Element for its clean lines and pure motif — for just being a skateboard company. Sure, you won’t ever see me kickflip or performing an ollie anytime soon, but the fashions here speak for themselves: get out of the normal dingy jeans and that do-rag and donning a Heart to Heart Fleece to pair with the suggested pants — or, heck, just go nuts with whatever you have that’ll favor the top. Just get out of those rags you have on!

Both brands will be available this week in the x7 Preview section on PlayStation Home, with a general release to come on April 9, 2014.
