Foal: Prints and Patterns by Lockwood

by Jin Lovelace, HSM team writer & filmmaker

Lockwood’s Foal line wasn’t one I was familiar with until recently. I’m unsure of the brand’s exact release date, but given that I would try almost any of Home’s clothing just once, I went on to don the fashion — and I enjoy it.

What caught my attention about Foal: the clean lines and the accessible designs. Noting its younger intent and not dedicating itself to cater to high fashion, I appreciated the commodity for what it is and feel it manages to do pretty well with what’s available. After all, there needs to be diversity of casual wear on Home, which Lockwood does a terrific job at offering.

Here, with the Prints & Patterns collection, the ethos of the Foal brand still exists with the motifs laced in the Tube Top and Pencil Skirt combination, but also conforms to a rather sensual nature that can tell a unique story with every line drawn. The Foal line introduces a tube top and a pencil skirt that you can play mix ‘n match with your available clothing items in your wardrobe. My take on this machinima was to finally test out my new equipment that I’ve acquired and play around with new filming techniques.

I’m nervous over the possible reaction to this piece. For one, the “White Room” (as I call it) was solely the inspiration to Lockwood’s own fashion videos of the past, while the angles and music held signature to the Twilight Touch brand. Though this was nothing more than a test video to shake myself out of the timidness I have, I still wanted to help sell the products.

This right here is the beginning of a challenging journey. I’m having a blast in Home, and for each fashion release, I’m finally finding something to do with my wardrobe. Hopefully you enjoy the visual journey.

Cheers!
