It’s February 2014, and that means a lot of us romantics are thinking about that very special day: Valentine’s Day.

Some of us are in a great relationship and we’re wanting to celebrate it with that special someone, and some of us are still looking for Mr. Right or Ms. Right.  So, it’s time to think about chocolates, roses, love, hearts, and what we’ll get as a Valentine’s Day present from our favorite third-party developers on Home.

VEEMEE is offering us another re-skinned version of Acorn Meadows Park, and as usual, it’s a winner. Enjoy all the changes to the park and the updates to the 3D printer. What could be better than pink trees, pink swan boats on a lake with drifting hearts, more pink hearts (including heart balloons) everywhere, a ride on a pink train that puffs pink smoke hearts and takes you through a heart-filled “tunnel of love”? Well, how about a giant teddy bear – with a pink heart design – that you can glitch? You just cannot have too many hearts on this special day. And if you want more, check the printer for heart locomotions, as well as teddy bear and rose locomotions, and still more items. And do we see a pink glow in the under-waterfall cave? Wonder what’s in there?

If you’re looking for new clothes for this special day, you’ll have plenty of choices.

Codeglue offers Dani’s Lovely Valentine line for the ladies. Choose between white with lavender details; pink with black details; or black with pink details. There are four items in each set, including two tops and two bottoms. The bottom pieces are your choice between a skirt or shorts, with stockings and shoes included with both. The tops’ two versions are a version with a polka-dot bodice with straps or a strapless version with a plain bodice and polka dot bottom. There is a mid-sized bow on either version and there are also more cute little bows on the version with straps and on both bottoms pieces, on the the over-the-knee stockings and on the shoes.

Lockwood offers the Romeo and Juliet outfits – a modern version, of course. His look is slightly disheveled, but with roses in hand to present to that someone special and her look is just simplicity, itself. There are five pieces for him, including the roses and a hairdo and five for her, including a heart-shaped clutch purse and a hairdo. You’ll find variations of some of these items, such as his jacket and her shoes in the gift machine.

JAM Games is offering their collection of Valentine’s outfits again, from last year. If you missed them, here’s your chance to pick them up, or pick up a new color for this year. The gentlemen have a choice of a white suit with pink details, or a black suit with red details. The ladies have four color choices; in addition to the pink or red outfits to match the gentlemen, you can also choose white or black with gold trim. Unique hair and hand accessories are included. These items are all on sale, while the Cupid’s Bulls-Eye furniture item is now free. There’s also their Espionage – Bonds of Love bundles that came out last week, if you prefer. Choose between the Roger and Sean two-piece sets for the guys, with white or black dinner jackets, respectively or the seven-piece Penny and Jenny sets for the ladies in red or black and red, respectively.

Just in time for Valentine’s Day 2014, Hellfire Games is releasing their own version of a gift machine and they call it the Giftinator 9000. It includes the following features:

• Experience earned with each gift sent which will allow you to level up to unlock exclusive rewards & gift wraps

• The ability to gift to yourself, as well as friends, and even nearby users in the same space

• A custom gift wrap system, a dynamic wish list system, and a custom PSN messages with gifts

• A visual alert when gifts are waiting

Hellfire has stated they have optimized the user interface for fast navigation and they are launching with 75 items, including five free items. You can even gift currency to your friends, if you wish.

Atom Republic came out with a Valentine’s bundle that is quite remarkable and full of great items. There are male and female dance partners and boyfriend and girlfriend locomotions – which include the boyfriend or girlfriend! There are also six gestures of love, three for him and three for her. Enjoy a rose held between the teeth or a heart hand gesture with hearts floating above. He can also kneel down with his hands over his heart, open his arms and applaud, while she can blow a kiss and stare lovingly at him.

Will there be more items and surprises on Wednesday? Time will tell. All in all it’s a great year to be a Home user and a great season to enjoy on Home. I wish you love and romance this year – or at least chocolates. Happy Valentine’s Day!
