Lockwood’s Dream Forest Paradise

by Jin Lovelace, HSM team writer & filmmaker

From time to time, I’ve tried to comprehend the hype around Lockwood.

Many feel they are the most dependable and (probably) the most versatile developer in Home — a perception which was established since their launch of the Sodium brand. For me, it’s fashion that catches my attention, and Lockwood has done an outstanding job dominating the market in this area.

But then we have these personal estates that Lockwood churns out. Each and every time I see something that they do, I tend to ask, “How in the heck do they do this?!”

Seriously, they astound me every time they create such personal spaces; I don’t think I’ve found a single Lockwood estate yet that I dislike. Let me think harder for a sec…nope, still no.

The Dream Forest Paradise, a new iteration to the Dream apartment line, is something majestic. I’m trying to capture my thoughts on how to simply describe this space to you: it’s something that you might have to view yourself. Set in a lush floral setting with a flowing waterfall and lagoon, along with vines you’ll wish you could swing from, this space has that magical touch that only Lockwood knows how to create. While not many are a fan of large personal apartments, I personally laud them, provided that I have the right furniture items to fit the setting (see Phoenix’s Feng Shui article to catch my drift here).

While many entries in Lockwood’s Dream universe seem to overtly reference real-world landmarks in places such as Thailand and Bali, this estate feels like a deeper dive into fantasy; there is no readily apparent real-world analogue for a place like the Dream Forest Paradise, save for perhaps something like Bali’s Como Shambhala Estate in Ubud. Nevertheless, it is an amazing experience all the same.

See this video vignette for yourself. Notably, this is the first Dream estate from Lockwood which is also going to be available as a clubhouse. Personally, I think this is a very smart move.
