Toylogic’s Arrival
by Kassadee Marie, HSM team writer
Toylogic’s stated goal is to provide “Enjoyment, Surprise and Impression” to their customers. Their corporate philosophy is to combine their passions for playfulness and use their leading-edge technological skills to meet this goal.
We can see this successful combination in the products they are offering Home users. Originally, this Japanese company’s content was offered only in the Asian and Japanese Home markets, where they premiered a very special space in September of last year. It’s called Oshaberi Farm, and this Japanese word can be translated into English as talkative or chatty — which gives you a hint, coupled with word “farm” — about how the space works there and what you might expect to see if it’s ever brought to North America. They have recently expanded here into North America and into Europe, and it would be great to see this unique space come to SCEA Home.
Located in Tokyo, Japan, the Toylogic crew has worked on two action titles for the Wii. These are the AAA title, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, released in 2008; and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles™: Smash-Up, released in 2009. They also worked on the shooter, Kid Icarus™: Uprising for the Nintendo 3DS, which was released in 2012 and they made their own free-to-play multi-player action game, Happy Wars® for the Xbox Live Arcade, which was released last year. Also, last year they released a mobile game called Save the Robot and they’ve recently released another called The Draco. Both of these titles are available in the AppStore.
Their first offerings to North America Home, in October of this year, were seven locomotion items with some very unusual styles from their garden-themed locomotions line. These locomotion items include ladybug wings in red or yellow, a floating lotus flower in red, purple or yellow, a lotus leaf umbrella, and translucent fairy wings and they are sold for only $1.99 each. As locomotions they can be worn by either gender, of course. More of these themed locomotions exist and have been seen in promotional pictures and hopefully we will see them soon in North America, where people have been clamoring for them.
Their next items were head and feet items from their “ethnic” line of clothing and they are sold at the very reasonable price of $.99 each. There are hats and boots for the guys and hats, boots, earmuffs, and hairdo’s with circlets for the ladies. This Slavic Russian-inspired line of clothing is known to have full outfits for both genders in wonderful, bright colors, including my personal favorite of yellow. I’m really looking forward to seeing all of these items come to North America, hopefully in well-priced bundles.
Their third batch of content was their colorful and fun “rainbow galoshes”. These dual-purpose boots are sold in five colors, including red, blue, green, purple, and yellow for both males and females and are offered for only $.99 each. In addition to being clothing items, these colorful boots come with a bright rainbow that flourishes over your head when wearing these wonderful items.
The fourth offering returned to their garden-themed line with a head item for the ladies and head and hand items for the guys, sold for $.99 each. The ladies were offered a tomato beret, while the guys were offered three funny head items, including the tomato beret, and eggplant and watermelon “hats”. There were also six hand items for the guys, consisting of two shovels, two pitchforks and two scythes, with either green or golden ivy vine leaves entwined about the handles. These hand items are actually worn on the back. I’m not sure why Toylogic didn’t have more items for the ladies in that batch, but I wish they had.
The latest items from this developer offer three rather unusual items for the guys; these are two flower eye patches, in pink and “dark” and full head of blue hydrangea. The ladies are also offered the eye patches, and seven lovely flower hair accessories in wonderfully muted colors.
What else might becoming to North America from this developer? With luck we will be seeing lots and lots of clothing items, more locomotions, active items, and at least one personal space from this exciting and interesting developer. We may see more funny hats and cute sandals, decorated with my favorite flower, the sunflower. We may also see many hair ornaments and jewelry items from them in the near future. Hopefully, we’ll see the colorful flower patch; snow and snowman patch; and the four-leaf clover patch locomotions very soon, that have already been offered for sale in Europe. But I’m looking forward most to the winter items that I hope they will bring to North America in December. This would be a great Christmas present for us from a new (to us) and fun developer.

Nice write up Kass,
I found this developer a week or so past in the Threads tab. They have some very nice clothing items as you mentioned, looking forward to seeing more from them in future. Not much into LMO’s but I do like active items (especially furniture) and some spaces.
