Granzella’s New Window to the World

by Phoenix, HSM team writer

If you are one of the people that have continually asked for bigger personal spaces in Home, then the new Window to the World Personal Space “City by the Bay Loft” will blow your mind. Granzella brings a new space to the market that is more a combination in size to all the Granzella spaces so far: four floors and “not a box” in design. This space could easily be a shopping mall, or a multimillion-dollar private home, what with its numerous large windows and modern city architecture.

The City by the Bay personal Space is set in the city by the bay, San Francisco. It would be an understatement to say it looks more like a block by the bay in size, right next to one of San Francisco’s most famous attractions: cable car tracks. This new space has more than a few surprises in store for its owners. Besides the four huge floors, there’s outdoor space for your avatar to roam and decorate to your heart’s content, complete with a working sprinkler system.  Just as in the case of its predecessor this window to the world, has some customization features, wallpaper, music selections, lighting, diurnal control, carpet and curtains, as well as other accessory items (purchased separately) furniture, food items; now weather controls have been added to customize your space. Yes, you can literally make it rain! In the real City by the Bay the weather may not always be sunny, and neither does it have to be in Granzella’s City by the Bay.

Those of you that have asked for more in a personal space along the lines of rewards can feel the love from this space and more, Granzella has added 72 reward items to be found in this already consumer-request-driven personal space. I was amazed at the idea of  twenty rewards when Lockwood did so for their Dream Yacht; no one since has gone beyond that number. More to the point, they have dropped the number of personal space rewards unlocked. There are more items for the owner found in a bundle combinations for some spaces, but admittedly nothing like this.

These reward items unlocked, naming a few: chandeliers, café and garden furniture, flower beds, garden arches, fountains, Victorian lighting, accessory shop items and still more.

This reward count alone seems to me to be a major selling point. I will be interested to know how many if any of these will be available to guests, but still a major selling point, I’m sure. The City by the Bay Paris was a big hit for Granzella when it was 20131127_SanFrancisco PS2revealed, and the low debut price made it all the sweeter. The price for this new installment of the Window to the World, City by the Bay, is $7.99

If you’re really thinking that’s a big price tag for this space, think about the fact that some of the newer spaces have that price tag or perhaps a dollar less and don’t have the customization level that this one has, not to mention the rewards packed into this space. It has to be addressed, too, that the more Home residents clamor for and receive in a personal space, the more work and time go into a space, the more the price has to go up. It is the law of demand and supply. You can’t always get something for nothing, but it seems you can get a little extra for a little more. As far as personal space prices go, if you haven’t noticed, they seem to be averaging somewhere around the $6.99-7.99 price range, for a new space now. Very few are coming in at 4.99 or below, unless as in the case of some of the fun-sized spaces, which came in at $1.99-2.49 this bigger price tag is to be expected and still doesn’t seem to cover all that this space has to offer. The only drawback I can find with this and some of the other larger spaces is the 100-slot furniture count. When decorating this space, if the slot count hasn’t changed, the size makes it important to be picky in what you place in so large a space. That 100-count goes quickly for some decorators.

Granzella has produced something remarkable with this estate, and it should be explored.
