The Top Ten SCEA Home Value Items for September

by Kassadee Marie, HSM team writer

Like beauty, value is in the eye of the beholder.

In other words, what one person sees as value, another person may not. Value, as I understand it, is a cost-to-worth relationship and I can only tell you what I perceive as having value in Home purchases. Following are the items that I consider are the best value for the past month, and I’ll tell you why I think so for each item or package. This isn’t a list of my favorite things for the month and they’re not always the least expensive item(s), either. It should be no surprise that bundles make up the majority of the best values on Home, as combined items sell for less in a pack than they do when purchased separately. You may not want every item in a bundle, but when you like most of the items included, the bundle can be a bargain.

Note: Although these items are numbered, it’s not meant to be a top value to least value list, but rather my value choices for the month overall. I didn’t include free items, and I also didn’t try to choose one of each type of item, such as estate, locomotion, furniture pack, clothing item, etc. If I had, this would have been a somewhat different list.

1. nDreams’ The Nightclub: Ultimate Bundle for $ 12.99. Personal spaces that are still only $4.99 and have any extras are a value item in my opinion, and a clubhouse for the same price in a good deal, too. When you can get both of them in a bundle for only $5.49 when they would cost $9.98 if purchased separately, it’s a great deal. How about dance packs, sold separately for $2.99 each, combined into a double pack for $4.99? Or a party equipment that would sell for $17.94 sold separately, bundled at only $5.99? And what if all of these items are combined into a mega bundle for $12.99? Well, I think it’s practically stealing, it’s such a great deal.

2a. VEEMEE’s Personal Chef Bundle for $3.49. Hire the chef. This fun bundle combines the BBQ and French chefs’ bundles which are sold for $2.49 each, and they offer a reward with each. The BBQ chef cooks at his grill and has a table with a red and white checked tablecloth nearby. He serves a burger reward and would look great in any casual outdoor setting. The immaculate French chef cooks on his gourmet stove and has a table with a white tablecloth nearby. He also serves a reward, and would look good cooking for you in any of your kitchens. Or design your own restaurant where he can cook for your customers.

Culinary Adventure Pack

2b. Juggernaut’s Culinary Adventure Pack for $14.99. Be the chef. The newest Adventure Pack from Juggernaut is well up to their usual standards of innovation and quality – and rewards. Not only can you dress as a chef in black or blue for the guys and black or pink for the ladies, you can also dress as the executive chef with one of the two included eight-piece bundles, sold separately for $3.99 each. Also, included in this bundle is the Deluxe Kitchenware bundle, which is sold separately for $9.99 and has a chef’s oven, a BBQ grill, and a stockpot, plus two other pots and small kitchen appliance sets in three outstanding colors and Stainless steel. And don’t forget – rewards.

3. Magic Sparkles – Set from Dani for $ 3.49. Dani’s done it again. She’s come out with another great, soft and feminine clothing bundle for the ladies, in her signature pastels, white, and black color choices. As usual, she’s included shoes with great style and a little extra in the way of a flower to be worn on the wrist as a bracelet. She’s even offered these dresses in two great lengths, for a formal or more casual look, depending on your setting. And this time she’s added some extra sparkle with a scattering of animated jewels on all four pieces. These sets purchased as individual items would cost $4.46 in each color.

4. Blizzard’s Costume Packs for $3.99. It’s always great to same game-related items offered on Home as rewards or for sale. We are a gaming community after all, for the most part. Blizzard is offering some very interesting clothing sets from Diablo. For just under $4.00 you can pick up the barbarian armor, witch doctor armor, demon hunter armor, or monk armor — five-piece sets in male or female versions, which include some very large and interesting head items.

5. VEEMEE’s Element – Release Bundle – Volume 01 for $ 9.49. Once again a bundle is being offered at a great price which offers both female and male clothing items. If you like to switch the gender of your avatar once in awhile, you’ll want to take a look at this bundle of Element clothing items. There are six male items and six female items priced individually from $.99 to $1.99 each. But the biggest bonus to this pack is that two skateboards are included that are priced individually at $2.49 each. These boards will allow you into the new skate park at Acorn Meadows Park in the near future.

Bodycon Dresses Value Pack

6. Lockwood’s Bodycon Dresses Value Pack for $7.99. I’ve heard it said that there are more female than male clothing items on Home. Lately it seems to be especially true, which makes me glad I’m female, but wish I had more disposable funds. The new Bodycon line of clothing from Lockwood is simply wonderful. The dresses are stylish and well made and come in great colors. (You know I bought that bright yellow one!) Individually priced at $1.99, ten of these dresses are offered in a bundle for just under $8.00, which is a nice little savings and gives you a choice of five styles in six colors. Other dresses in this line are available in the gift machine for 128 tokens, if you’d like to share the look in others colors with a friend.

7. VEEMEE’s Cyber Corp. Locomotion Implant – Bundle for $5.49. I can tell you right off, that the items in this bundle will not suit everyone. However, if these items do appeal to you (and I know they do to many) they are a great bargain. Priced at $2.99 each, you’ll save almost $3.50 by buying the bundle instead of all three separately. You’d actually save a little by buying the bundle instead of only two of the locomotions sold separately. Each one has a unique design, and it’s an altogether interesting concept to change only half of your avatar’s body.

8. Juggernaut’s Supernatural Detective Adventure Pack for $ 13.99. When Juggernaut puts together a mega bundle of other bundles, it becomes a “must buy”, supposing you like the subject of the bundles, of course. They offer these mega bundles at an incredible savings, over the cost of the bundles and items purchased separately. This combined pack has the Ghost Hunter, Demon Hunter, and Supernatural Detective Furniture bundles. These bundles are priced at $6.99 for the first bundle and $5.99 each for the second two bundles, which would be $18.97 purchased separately. However, each of these bundles is also discounted from the price of each item in them purchased separately. The first two packs would cost almost $13.00 and the last close to $7.50, if the items were purchased individually.

 9. nDreams’ Ultimate Dance Bundle 4 for $6.99. I almost feel like I shouldn’t be adding nDreams’ mega dance bundles to my top ten list any month they are offered, because they should be an automatic purchase for anyone who loves dances and wants the smoothest dances and the best bundled prices. This mega bundle may be their best offering yet. For just under $7.00 you can receive 12 dances for both genders. That’s about $.58 a piece, compared to most dances which are usually about $1.00 each.

Delirious Squid Victoriana Gothic Furniture Value Pack - Magick

10. Lockwood’s Delirious Squid Victoriana Gothic Furniture Value Pack – Magick for $11.99. If you love Goth or if you want to decorate in a spooky style for Halloween this season, then this pack has all the furniture you’ll need for the holiday and a lot of the decorations, too. These are a different color variation of the items offered previously in the gift machine. Priced individually from $.49 to $1.99, with most items priced at $.99, these 21 items are being offered in a bundle at an average price of only $.57. Now that’s value!

Honorable mentions: Lockwood’s Lace Chokers Value Pack for $.99.  There are three of these well-priced (at $.49 each) and very cool-looking lace chokers for the ladies. A bundle of three for less than a dollar is a nice savings. Here’s hoping they develop a whole lot more of them in other colors and styles. O-Two’s LMO Wings (Flying mode) for $ 1.49. If your love affair with wings isn’t over yet, take a look at these three items from O-Two. For a developer whose items are usually on the pricier side, these LMO wings are offered at a surprisingly low cost. Choose between three versions: Dark Wings, Angel Wings, and Devil Wings. Loot’s Forsaken Planet – UFO Bundle for $ 1.99. They’re just fun and funny and they’re offered at a great little price, as any one of the four sells for $.99 by itself. nDreams’ Floor & Standing Poses – Ultimate Gesture Bundle for $4.99. All I feel the need to say is 20 poses: Ten sitting and ten standing for both genders. Ndreams’ Boxing Gym and Dance Studio Bundle for $3.99. Yes, they are both very small, but if you love to watch your avatar dance or fight, you’ll love these spaces to add to the feel of realism. Invite a friend or two to share the fun.

I know, I cheated with that 2a and 2b thing, but I couldn’t decide between them. And it’s not my fault we are getting so much great content lately. You should see the things I didn’t mention. No really, you should. Go. Look. Now.

Home is endlessly entertaining to this California girl. Kassadee has been in Home for about four years, and loves almost everything about it (with a few notable exceptions). She spends way too much money there, and perhaps too much time... Someday she will travel the world and write about the people she meets and the places she sees.
