A Not-So-Serene Plaza
by Phoenix, HSM team writer
If you thought Juggernaut Games was finished with its spooky factors for Halloween, then you simply were not thinking. This week, Juggernaut raises the proverbial stakes in Home with their revamp of the Serenity Plaza for Halloween fun and screams.
The entirety of the plaza has been transformed into a scary celebration venue. The plaza is inhabited by werewolves and vampires. Those visiting the plaza during this Halloween season will be able to chose a side and recruit either werewolves or vampires to your side; in doing so, each side will grow closer to their recruitment goal and unlock community rewards. Juggernaut has created werewolf and vampire statues for purchase to help take on your final transformation to werewolf or vampire. These statues help boost your powers as a werewolf or vampire. If you chose to be a werewolf, you will get a free costume with emotes particular to that monster. If your choice is vampire and you purchase the vampire statue, you will get the master vampire special clothing. These rewards become yours when you place the statue of your choice in your space.
Juggernaut has, for those Halloween enthusiasts like me, created yet another bundle for the occasion. The Halloween Bundle has eight active items, three furniture items and two LMOs. Juggernaut have shown they understands the need for using more items to decorate, and with the limited slot count, the active items in this bundle allow you to place up to thirty-five decorations in any space using only seven slots! If you purchased the active bundles from either Bramblenook Farm or the Ghost Detective Kit, then you know how awesome these items are.
In the active items you’ll find a Creepy Coffer that lets you decorate with Jack-o-lanterns in two styles, spiders, and various items from a mad scientist lab. There is a Scary-Go-Round, all revamped in Halloween orange and black to give your friends the ride of their lives in celebration of the season. Whither you celebrate Halloween or just the autumn, you will love this carousel.
There is a Sinister Sideboard for the most horrible of feasts. Just looking at these delicacies reminds me of the banquet in the Temple of Doom. “Brains, anyone?”
This Sideboard is bursting with some of the most terribly, wonderfully disgusting, desirables imaginable, each one a delight to behold; if you like worms, tentacles, slime and eyeballs, then you’ll be right at home. And, naturally, leave it to Juggernaut to bring a Haunted Organ to the party; after all, what’s a party without music? This organ has five ghostly tunes to be heard, so fill that haunted house or apartment with this musical piece and dance till the sun comes up.
For still more great Halloween items, Juggernaut has created avatar animations in the form of a coffin, and for that special couple a large coffin built for two. Oh, and there are a few more items if you haven’t stopped reading and jumped into the Juggernaut store by now. There are a Bat and Belfry with animated bats, a witch’s cauldron, and several Gothic furniture pieces to be had. This bundle is $9.99 in NA Home and 9.99 Euros in SCEE Home.
Oh, and did I mention Juggernauts original Haunted Classic, Cutteridge Estate items are on sale, for anyone out there that still doesn’t have it? That is the Cutteridge Estate clubhouse skin, Cutteridge Estate Furniture Bundle, Cutteridge Estate Ghost Stories Ultimate bundle, Cutteridge Estate/Clubhouse Bundle and Cutteridge Estate Ghost Stories Bundle. The Crying Lady and Scarecrow costumes as well can be purchased on sale.
Those of you with a few Juggernaut coins in hand can find some new items for purchase by way of the coin store. Juggernaut introduces the Mummy Spawner and the Zombie Spawner — these items will spawn a few horrible creatures to torment you and your guest. There are even a few companions of the frightening kind for purchase.
Happy Halloween!
