Dani MtlDesigner’s Magic Sparkles

by Jin Lovelace, HSM team writer & filmmaker

I didn’t know what route to go for this video. Over the course of the the video production I had it in mind that I was going to take the signature classy, elegant theme for Dani’s new Magic Sparkles line, but the desire to give this presentation a more relaxing tone was something I had in mind ever since I laid eyes on the gowns.

The problem was that I felt it would’ve been too simplistic to simply portray the essence of what these dresses really are. My desire was to challenge myself in transitioning and sequencing certain scenes with depth, while staying a bit true to the brand’s ethos of film production. So for this piece, I felt there should be some form of a quick pace to give an electric feel to the scenes, along with the visual presentation itself. The music really helped a lot and was the sole inspiration to the theme.

As much as I’m not really into evening dresses on Home, I found nothing but love for Dani’s new line, and it’s not often that I create any videos pertaining to her clothing; that, of course, is something I’ve been intimidated upon myself. I just felt I was never too good to present something to match the quality of her commodity. Call it a bit of insecurity here; I’m just merely speaking feelings, if not the truth.

I’ve written a review over at the Twilight Touch website, so if you wish to know my thoughts on this line, that’s a good place to start. For more on Dani’s Home items and updates just visit her website (http://danimtldesigner.com) for more info.

Of course, I hope you enjoy.
