Fashion Senses

by Jin Lovelace, HSM filmmaker and team writer

It feels damn good to create a fashion feature again.

Pardon my use of that language, I normally never use swear words. But it’s an exciting feeling when you’re producing a feature based on the medium you love, and the result of it is something you hadn’t expected. Playing with a few programs, studying and applying the basic rules to create something a bit effective as a fashion feature really gives you a feeling of accomplishment.

Let’s start with Lockwood’s Classic Mini-Skirts collection. In the fashion community, many cried for a legitimate white skirt to use for their apparel concoctions. Basically, we all desired a white variation of the Billabong Rio Mio.

Well, at least Lockwood listened.

And boy did they listen!

This presentation features outfit designs for the effective usage of the Mini-Skirts. The goal here was to provide a sense of realm for certain style types with the locales. Hence the title “Fashion Senses”: to touch upon every sense of fashion from some of the older items (for instance, the first Denim Jacket by Threads, as seen in the “Rojo” segment of the video) to newest ones (Wrangler and Veemee’s new Street Styles items) for everyone to try.

I’ve also featured some of the outfit designs from the Belle dis Moi catalog to showcase the designs featured in the May 24th presentation.

And finally, Twilight Touch is throwing our very first fashion contest for our followers. So if you want more details, just head on over to our website and read up on our full Fashion Senses article.

Of course, I hope you enjoy.
