Video: Fashion Dump, Volume 2
by Jin Lovelace; team writer & videographer
I hate my wardrobe.
No really, I hate it.
That said, Seal’s article expounding upon the recent inventory bug caused by update 1.75, and the random creations it inspired served as a bit of an impetus for this video presentation.
From my perspective as a Home fashion designer, this has been a major inconvenience for me, due to the constant work of placing items into working inventory that I wish to use for a variety of designer outfits. The numerous chores that I have to conduct, just to move nine items at a time from the jumbled Storage section into working inventory in order to create maybe three or four designs, have been as much fun as watching a marathon of The Room.
Looking at my saved wardrobe was even worse — now a recurring nightmare because of how many items I’ve bought. I create an outfit, look at my saved avatars, and then whimper at my unsubscribed extra save slots branded with the PS Plus icon.
I seriously hate my wardrobe.
All this has reminded me about how I didn’t follow through with my Fashion Dump series, and the perfect irony of how this bug has made it obvious I should start to reorganize my closet.
So I pretty much threw together the following styles:
- Some Espada Gothica character costumes for Solstice and her stripped form. You’d have to read my story to know who she is.
- Fashions from an incomplete Catalog – “Combat Rising” – which features futuristic costumes and fashions. I might revisit this line.
- Just regular fashions that were featured in past catalog showcases; for example my tube top outfits.
My motive for this series is to spark some fun and creativity with the machinima, and so the music “Is It Good to You” by Heavy D and the Boyz was a must. The song, in my opinion, really brightened up the presentation. In fact, so much this video was merely a dedication to him on his peaceful journey. Rest in peace, my brother.
Lastly, instead of using the default dance styles, I wanted to throw in nDreams’ brilliant LMO Dance moves. Just don’t ask how I could pop-lock in some heels; I laughed the whole time doing it.
Cheers!

Nice Jin!
1.75, eesh, what can we say? That stopped me from deco, dressing and yes even shopping. Good vid Jin, and nice to see you making the most out of the catastrophe known as 1.75. Can you imagine the video dump we could all make out of the shambles…lol, almost scary.
This fashion is anything but a Dump Jin- I love the way you and Ruby put things together to make a look that is casual high end for the real life things and I thought the sexy Mech girls show a little the rich side of feminine empowerment. Keep on trucker.
