Screen Siren by Lockwood (Video)

by Jin Lovelace, HSM team writer and videographer

Upon learning of Lockwood’s new fashion release of the Screen Siren Dress, I was overwhelmed, deciding how I wished to react. While most items in Home depend on our own creative imaginations (which depends on having the right items, of course,) Lockwood went beyond their normal boundaries to translate one of the most iconic characters of the 1988 animated film, “Who Framed Roger Rabbit” — my all-time favorite animated movie — Jessica Rabbit.

SealWyf has already explained the history behind the character in her recent review article. What I find most attractive about this dress is of how it captures the essence of the character, while adding personality of its own. Lockwood’s greatest strength, in my humble opinion, is how they capture the essence of the fantasy genre. They make us feel like we are retelling the story on our own.

This video presentation features the commodity in action. The music was selected to add a noir feel to the machinima, though later I thought the effect might have been even stronger if I had added a “bloom” effect to the video. This is something I might revisit in the future, perhaps.

You can find these items in a bundle for $2.99, available under the New section of Lockwood’s store. My take on the items will be up on my website.

As always, I hope you enjoy.

    WELL DONE Jin!
From the music to the simple delivery of the film itself. Well Done!

As always mon ami your every frame is filled with perfection! You capture the beauty and essence of noir perfectly… I adore your tribute to the incomparable Mr. Rabbit- if there is anyone that knows how to “do right” by Jessica, it’s you Jin. Now “get outta here, and get me some money too!”
