Lockwood’s Super Skinny Jeans Overview
by Jin Lovelace, HSM filmmaker
This video presentation features Lockwood’s upcoming Super Skinny Jeans, and my thoughts on it.
The item showcased fail to meet a certain aesthetic appeal to me. The reason for this is due to how disproportionate the legs make the rest of my avatar appear to be. As a note, I haven’t altered my avatar’s body mass for five years now; it’s been the same, to which my settings aren’t skinny at all, but merely rather slim.
While I think these jeans have great potential, the item is just too skinny and just doesn’t fit the fashion motif at all. I’m not trash-talking Lockwood, nor do I particularly like to negatively review any of Home’s developers. At the same time, I can’t lavish praise on something I just don’t like, and consumer feedback is necessary for developers to glean insights into how to improve forthcoming projects they may be working on.
For contrast, I’m also displaying Lockwood’s earlier Skinny Jeans and their 2012 summer release of their Jeggings. Observe their PR video and then review mine, and draw your own conclusion here. I’ve done an article over at Twilight Touch that speaks about various developer pros and cons. It’s a piece based solely on how I finally provide a point of view along with some areas of suggestion that the developers should take.
Not everything a developer releases is going to be universally lauded or commercially successful. And, on balance, Lockwood has a heck of a lot more hits than misses. I personally think this is one of their misses, but I firmly support Lockwood’s continuing fashion explorations and experimentation. Better to have something that some might find appealing than to have nothing at all.

The male skinny jeans do work well with some shoes and boots particularly cowboy boots that don’t work well with other jeans. However, they’re too skinny and when wearing them I’m embarrassed to get off my horse.
Or as the Most Interesting Man in the World puts it, “If I can count the coins in your pocket, you better use ‘em to call a tailor.”
AMEN! XD
The Male skinny jeans isn’t truly an issue with in a sense, though I don’t own any of the skinny jeans for my male avatar as the aesthetics of saggy waist + skinny jeans is just an insult to my fashion taste.
But the female super skinny jeans is just *blargh!* xO
