Konami News for the Ladies

by Kassadee_Marie, HSM team writer

Konami has recently released a new fashion line that they are calling “Fashionista” and it’s simply wonderful. There are three principal reasons that this new line of products is so great, and if you ladies have viewed these items and tried some of them on already, you know why. If you haven’t yet, you won’t want to miss out on these outstanding clothes values, found under the “New and Featured” tab.

Price

Who can say how high prices on Home will go? All we know for sure is that prices are going up for the most part, and will eventually increase substantially, if Home stays with the PS4 in the future. (And hopefully we’ll know that answer to that soon!) We’ve already seen a wide variety in costs, and some rather astonishing high-end prices for many items, including clothing. For instance, sometimes you will see one developer sell something as simple as an un-bundled dressn for $2.99. Another developer sells each piece of some of their two-piece swim suits for $1.99 each. Specialty outfits, like those in gold, can sell for as much as $10.00 on their own. And that’s not to mention the prices in the “Exclusives” store for items like jewelry. So finding a bargain priced item that one likes is great, and when that item is something new and stylish as well, it’s quite a thrill. This is what Konami just did with twenty brand new items.

Some Home stores still offer some inexpensive clothing items, but these are usually the older clothes and a lot of the time they are not very stylish — or not in style at all, even without being costumes from other eras. Frankly, some of the older clothes in Threads Originals look like they were designed with our grandmothers and grandfathers in mind. All anyone has to do is go to a mall or leaf through a fashion magazine or even watch a current movie or television show to see what’s in style today. There’s a great deal of variety, of course, but current trends in colors, outlines (shapes) and popular prints and patterns are easy to identify. These twenty items from Konami are very trendy. They look fantastic when you are wearing them, and they are suitable for various occasions and activities in Home, such as parties and the other social activities that we love here.

We want choices in our wardrobes, and it’s awesome when a third party developer such as Konami understands this and gives it to us. There are five different items offered in this initial release of Fashionista items — three dresses and two tops. The dresses come in three different lengths, and each dress style comes in four colors or patterns. The shortest dress is called a “Unituber”, and is offered in hot pink, a red cherry pattern, sexy black, or wild zebra stripes for only $.99 each. This short dress has cutouts in the back, and a figure-hugging style. The mid-length dress, called the “Morning Glory”, is a low-backed sashed and halter-topped dress that reaches just below the knees, where it flares out with a scalloped edge. It’s perfect for summer activities, such as sitting on a blanket at the beach while enjoying a picnic. This dress is offered in a red, white and green floral pattern, hot pink with black details, black with gray details, and blue with white dots and black details. It is also sold for $.99 for each color.

Cosmopolitan-Glamor-Red_2The longest dress is called “Cosmopolitan Glamor”. It’s a slim-fitting floor-length dress in a brocade material that has designs in shimmering thread, with a plunging neckline and back-line, and it also has a small train. We’ve been wanting more long dresses, and these gowns have elegance and sophistication that most of the ladies will love. Choose between the beautiful white, black or red gowns for $1.49, or the $1.99 gold dress.

The eight tops are all $.99 each, and they are offered in two styles called “Punky Sweetheart” and “Beach Baby”. The first style is strapless with a large, high belt. The top flares out in a bell style under the belt. It comes in a leopard pattern with a black belt, black with a white belt, red plaid with a black belt, and white with a black belt.

Beach-Baby-White_2The other top, the “Beach Baby”, has a more slender line, with thin straps and an empire waistline. All of them have a black bodice. You can pick this one up in a 60’s, rasta, white or floral style and they are all very colorful except the white, which has a lovely contrasting black flower pattern. As these are tops are styled long, so you can wear them with skirts or pants, or wear just a swim suit bottom under them to make them look like mini-length dresses. Now that’s choice!

So far the clothes have been for the ladies only and I hope to see a lot more of them in the future with these great prices, styles and choices. But it would be interesting to see what Konami would have to offer for the guys in this style line. Would it be possible to see the end of the droopy-drawered pants? We can only hope so.

Home is endlessly entertaining to this California girl. Kassadee has been in Home for about four years, and loves almost everything about it (with a few notable exceptions). She spends way too much money there, and perhaps too much time... Someday she will travel the world and write about the people she meets and the places she sees.

I love these dresses ans immediately bought two of them, the zebra mini and the floral Morning Glory styles. I was very surprised that Konami of all companies suddenly came out with such stylish fare. I will be very interested to see what they have up their sleeves next. Nice read Kass.
