Go Hellfire on a Budget
by Kassadee Marie, HSM team writer
Hellfire Games is located in Austin, Texas, situated between San Antonio and Dallas/Fort Worth. They have this to say about themselves on their website: “Hellfire Games, Inc. is an independent game studio organized in 2009. Hellfire Games boasts a highly skilled management team with over 45 years of combined experience in the technology industry.”
This developer is the creator of Home Tycoon, the unique game that allows you to design and build your own city in Home. They are also the designer of the Novus Prime Vindication public space and game. And in addition, they are the maker of the private estate (and Homeling favorite), the Novus Prime Officer’s Quarters.
This $4.99 space is rather small, but high-ceilinged and it has some really great features. This estate is the first one to allow flight for your avatar, with a built-in zero-gravity simulator. It shows your level and rank in the Vindication game at all times here. There is an arc of glass from floor to ceiling with an incredible view of space, the station that the quarters are part of, and passing spaceships or space shuttles. This is also the only personal space that directly connects to another, the Novus Prime Private Hangar. The hangar can only be purchased from the convenient store store located in this private space. From the hangar you can use the workshop and collect your daily salary from the game, as you would in the public space. You can also view the leaderboard and see your own fighting spacecraft in full size. Additionally from this hangar, the owner and guests can launch their own Novus Prime spaceships and go on private campaigns. Up to four people can play up to three different missions here at the same time. This would make a great space for an outer-space themed party, with the game as additional entertainment for your guests.
Hellfire also has eight very inexpensive concept paintings of Novus Prime spaceships. These wall items would look great in any of your estates, especially ones located in space. Seven of them are just $.49 each, and one called “The Kraken” is free presently. You may already have the one called “Blackwing” that was free last year, also. In my opinion, you will definitely want to pick up the Novus Prime Stereo for $1.99 to use in a lot of your spaces. The eerie symphonic music it plays will really help set a mood anywhere, particularly in the Officer’s Quarters. These items can be found in the Nebulon Store, a kiosk in the public space.
Two interesting full-body outfits, offered under the Novus Prime label, are the Ion Stream Power Armor for males and the Nebulon Interweave Power Suit for the females. These full body costumes are $2.99 each, but they do not offer a game upgrade. Many of the clothing items that are sold by Hellfire under the “Boosters” tab do add to power-ups to your Vindication game. If you are a game enthusiast you will want to pick up some of these items, as well as upgrades to your ship. The least expensive outfit offered by Hellfire is the “Chaos Suit”, which is sold in male and female styles for $1.99 each. These items can be found in the Costumes store, under the “Chaos” tab. These unusual five-piece suits have bright and wild colors that move all about the costume and may be appealing to you.
Although several of the developers are offering wings on Home, Hellfire’s Speed Wings for $3.99 are some of the very best. There is a great selection to choose from with seven styles and 13 colors at this time. One style is offered as the Flaming Phoenix wings in red and yellow flames or as the Stellar Phoenix wings in shades of blue. Another style is the Radiant Angel wings in glowing white with blue highlights or the Dark Raven wings which are deepest black. The third style, which is hot pink as the Dazzling Butterfly wings, is bright blue as the Sky Monarch wings. You can also choose the Brilliant Lightning wings, which are blue with silver lightening; the Enchanted Fairy wings, which are purple, blue and lavender (and huge); or the unique Macabre Skeletal wings, which are bone beige. Dragon wings in red, green, or blue are available for the same price.
Hellfire Games presently offers eight very special companions, priced at $2.99 each. These items are all robot- or space-related, and several them even match full-body costumes you can purchase from them, such as the “Mini-Mech” which matches the Power-Mech Suit. They also offer miniature spaceships that match those in the Vindication game, such the “Mini Obsidian Blade” and are a hit with fans of the game. These items can be purchased in the Sidekicks store, as well as the Nebulon Store.
Recently Hellfire has established their own “tab” in the Home store and it’s now very convenient to find items you want, such as the Speed Wings or furniture and clothing for Home Tycoon. Hopefully all of their items will be added eventually. I expect this is a sign of many new items, and perhaps new spaces as well, to be offered by Hellfire in the near future. This developer is very responsive to its customers, so if you have any ideas or requests for them, you can contact them at info@hellfiregames.com for more info.
Ah! Hellfire … my beloved home develloper
I was a bit surprised to see their name on your series of “on a budget” because they are not known as “cheap”. But they deleiver bang for your bucks. Every game add-on they sell is linked with a home items. Making it a double value. There is tons of rewards you can get free and the Novus Captain armored jacket is my favorite reward on home. I wore it for months at first.
The novus Prime stereo, althou an old 22 slotts active item have a neat feature. You hear the music only if you activate it. So if someone don’t want it, they won’t hear it. But once activatd you hear the music through out the place. It’s wonderfull with fireworks.
The quarters remain, update after update, fairly easy to get out of it zero g simulator. Wich enable you to explore the outer space and the detailed structure out there. Combine this with the “flying orb” (Sorry forgot the essences name) and it’s even more fun.
The wings are not cheap either, but they are the best on the market!
Good article Kass and thank you for your spotlight on my favorite developper.
Loot was the first “third-party” developer that I wanted to high-light, because they have outstanding bargains, especially in their older bundles. Then I thought that other developers deserved to be put into our little spot-light, too. So, I set up my criteria, as I mentioned in my Juggernaut article and went “down the list”, as they appeared under the navigator. (Note: they weren’t always published this way.) I think each one of our developers is special, but each appeals more to some people than to others. I know Hellfire Games has a lot of fans on Home.
So, back to what you said, I didn’t compare the developers on any level, even by prices, but tried to find the best bargains that each one offered. I hope I succeeded. Now I’ve returned to my previous style of themed ideas and I’ll be jumping from developer to developer again. And I guess I’ll be writing them until I run out of ideas or people start yelling at me to stop!
lol unless you run out of developers don’t stop! Even then, at the rate new items are comming by you would probably be able to start another round.

I’ve “done” all the developers that met my criteria, but I’ve been thinking of writing an article that showcases an item or line of items from the other developers. For instance, I love the new “elegant” line from Game Mechanics and I hope they do a lot more. In the mean time, I would highlight the table, which has great features.
