Early Blueprints

Yup. I’m totally hooked. Goodbye to the month of August! I was already hooked on making machinimas, and now I can create the movie sets that will fit with many of the stories that are cooking in my feverish brain.

A few warnings:  keep your first creations small and simple. Try to visualize how you will be using the space before you start designing it. Scrapping the first try and starting over should be expected. But, what the heck — you are having a blast just experimenting with it.

My big challenge now is that I ran through the hundred-item furniture limit before I managed to get out the front door! So, if you are decorating the exterior as well as the interior, start with just the basic pieces for each area. This means, for example, put in the kitchen fixtures but don’t start adding the toaster, teapot, plates, platters of food, and decorative plants immediately. Wait until you have the basics in the other rooms, such as beds, sofas, tables, chairs, and ‘story” items, before you start adding plants, rugs, trophies, and other “goodies” that personalize the space for you.

I wish I could go back and make some changes to this one, but I had to erase it to make the next one. Plus my computer crashed, taking all my machinima footage with it.  So — this is the first, but definitely not the last.

Keara is also known in Home as DarthGranny. She is a wicked little old lady with a wild sense of humor.

WOW Granny! What a fantastic decorating job! You are seriously talented, but we all knew that! I loved your space and ideas for each of the rooms. I definitely need to go back to the drawing board now! LOL
