Medics, Monsters, and Men in Black

So with Men In Black at the forefront of the public’s consciousness, LOOT unleashed an avalanche of MIB content into Home. This sort of crossover is extremely valuable to Home; when the vast PlayStation Network audience hears about an interactive Men In Black HQ which can be enjoyed for free in Sony’s virtual reality program, they meander into Home — likely for the first time. And, hopefully, they stick around. The easiest way to make Home relevant to the PSN is to deliver content that a non-Home user would be interested in exploring, and major franchises such as Men In Black are the easiest way to accomplish this.
LOOT has a long track record of doing this with Home. Note the Ghostbusters Firehouse personal estate, for instance. Ghostbusters is an IP that’s nearly thirty years old — making it older than an uncomfortable percentage of the seventy-plus-million people using the PSN — but it still endures and thrives. And it was LOOT that brought this to Home.
To be fair, LOOT does have somewhat of a competitive advantage on this front; as they’re located at Sony Pictures Studios, they’re the perfect development house to break the fourth wall — namely, delivering entertainment that bridges the gap between the real world and Sony’s virtual world. That said, LOOT’s track record demonstrates a consistent understanding of how to socially enhance Home via measurable commercial means. Or, as Norse cryptically repeats ad nauseam any time somebody (like me) tries to pry confidential information out of him, he simply replies, “They get it.”
(I then tried prying confidential information out of Cubehouse, but that was also fruitless. Cube’s IQ is so far off the charts that it’s like that scene in The Matrix Reloaded where the Architect is explaining everything and you realize you’re staring at him like a dog that’s just been shown a card trick.)
But there’s one thing I’m really good at: making insane machinima that ricochets off the hallway like a screwball put through a funhouse mirror.
There are times when being a little old lady is quite fun. In particular, doing silly things like mashing up major franchises as a backdrop for an undead fashion shoot. I’ll leave all that serious, angst-ridden, navel-gazing stuff to people who are young and still trying to look like they came out of an Abercrombie & Fitch catalogue. When you get to the level of mileage I’ve got, it’s all about stripper zombies.
So, yeah. Men In Black, Ghostbusters and stripper zombies. Enjoy.
OMG Granny that turned out awesome!!! Fun to watch as it was to shoot!!
Yeah that one was a fun to do. I liked making up a monster costume and goofing off for a bit. Nice the way it turned out too, very funny.
I think you’re strange. When I heard The Stripper I was reminded of radio station WLS’s DJ Clark Weber doing a recitation that song. He was strange too but I liked him. Maybe I like strange.

Keara another great work because of the talent and effort to write in this unique style sony should only hire writers from home we know more than most:)
Lol! What an eclectic assortment that truly represents Home. Wonderfully done!
I know that had to be a fun shoot! Making machina with so many fun folks, just makes Home extra fun!
Keep em coming Granny!
LMAO I love that one! Ghostbusters station was a brilliant choice. You even had a pole for the dancers…keep the good work.
That was funny, the Ark opens up not with evil , but with entities that want to pole dance? LMAO. Funny andd good shot granny!
Very well done Granny. You certainly have a way about you.
Full of surprises.
DG, I’m still laughing! This one is priceless! Thanks, again, for the fun!
Great job Granny, love the whole aspect of it. Can’t wait for the next one you come up with.
