HomeCast for May 23, 2012
What’s in this episode: 1.65 Update | Bowling Update | Superhero Madhouse | Silent Hill Personal Space Preview | Fourthstar Outfits | Paradise Springs Casino Update | Lockwood Photo Props | New Granzella Shooting Gallery Rewards | Formal Dresses | Way too much use of the word, “Guy”
Sometimes it’s fun to shake things up a little. This being my third trip through a Home core update in HomeCast, I decided to freshen it up a bit by having Boston Pete, first seen in the April 18 episode, take over the hosting duties.
Now I happen to like Pete. He’s a parody of the excitable guy who talks your ear off after some beers at the bars around here. He doesn’t grasp the finer points of things, but he knows what he likes, and he’s got an opinion about everything, as well as an intelligence that reaches beyond his vocabulary. He’s also a heck of a lot of fun to record.
Some of the Twitter fans don’t care for Pete. Now I’m hardly one to be devastated by negative feedback, but most of the criticism that usually flows my way has to do with things that are a bit out of my control. Why can’t you be more current? Why don’t you have more previews? Why don’t you talk about the bad things about Home? There are sane and rational answers to all of those, and I actually had a good disconnect joke that I wanted to do, but there are some limits that just cannot be pushed if I want an episode to screen in the Theater.
Until now, I’ve never had complaints about an artistic choice, and while I’ll generally defer to the advice of the viewers, I’m going to hold my ground with my friend Pete. Yes, he’s annoying…that’s the point of him. He really, very sincerely doesn’t mean to be, but he can’t help it. He likes to talk, even when he doesn’t know what he’s talking about.
So expect a dash of Pete every now and again. If he really gets to you that much, I suggest avoiding the bars around here. They’re full of guys who are a lot like him.
This video is private :\
The peak cam is gone. Noooooo! Whats up guy.
Nice stuff! New stuff, sarcastic stuff, just enough annoying stuff, all kind of stuff… I love this stuff!
Same price for meatloaf and lobster rolls? Wow, good find!
Nicely done Guy!
nnnnnnnnnnnoooooooooo! PETE IS EXCELLENT!!! pffft….crybabys.
I loved Pete! But, I think the problem is just missing the sexy, deep voice we all like listening to on the Homecast videos. (No offense Pete!)
Lol I like Pete. He’s funny.
