Fashion Dump, Vol. 1

by Jin Lovelace, HSM guest contributor

I think we’ve all had this problem: overwriting your favorite outfits in your style tabs suck. Just when you’ve designed your favorite outfit to add to your tab, you discover that all the save slots are already filled with existing concoctions. So it’s sad that you have to sacrifice your favorite tabs — but while it’s not a bad thing, it can be a little inconvienent at times.

This video is dedicated to dumping some of my old outfit designs in favor of my new ones. While I have a couple that I might keep for sentimental value (“Melanie” and “Shermie” are two of my favorite creations of all time), I just have way too many designs, and figured that I’d share some of them with the Home community. While some are great (the aforementioned outfits, for instance), some were created for projects that expired due to lack of time or discontinuation of interests. I’ll admit that I’m an avid fan of fighting games, so of course my desire to see such costumes from games like King of Fighters and BlazBlue come to PlayStation Home would be one of many dreams come true.

Hope you all enjoy.

I hate having to delete a saved outfit too. I love making new ones so I have to a lot and with machinimas and the like and character creation it is happening even more now. Nice fits Jin, good job on the film.

I wish saving a new outfit would automatically delete the oldest one and save the new one in the number “1” slot. Does anyone else keep a little chart of their saved outfits by their PS3 because you can’t tell which outfit is which by those little portrait shots?

  3. Jin Lovelace says:

@Burbie Thanks for the compliment. :)

@Kassadee Marie: I do little film shoots of my outfits and/or picture shoots and keep them on file so I know which outfit I created, when and how. Most of the time I just remember the designs, pending on the complexity of said designs.

In the Slots I always have a subtle mark on my characters to know which outfit is what. For example, say I use a different hair color scheme for my Shermie outfit and I have the same hairstyle but don’t know which outfit it is. I just change the hair color. Something simple like that, if it made any sense at all.
