A Loud Look At A Silent Hill
by Keara22HI, HSM team writer and filmmaker
It was just a trashy little diner on the outskirts of town, fighting to attract the truckers by installing a dance floor and encouraging women of dubious occupation to hang out in there.
Occasionally, out-of-towners would wander in, looking for a piece of pie and a cuppa joe, but, for the most part, the place was on its last legs. On a typical Saturday night, the jukebox was blaring old Roy Orbison songs, one of the dancers was trying hard for some bucks, one of the truckers was haggling prices, and the overworked waitress was slinging hash.
Then the sheriff ran in.
Something weird was going on in town: a heavy fog was rolling in and the streets were suddenly deserted. As she walked down the main drag, not one car was moving. The sheriff wanted to turn and run for the presumed safety of the police station, but she took it very seriously that she had been elected on her promise to keep this town safe. So, she shrugged off the growing panic that was hovering just under her skin and kept moving.
What was going on here? People had to be warned.
LOL that turned out great!
This was a blast to shoot!!!! Thanks again Granny!
Cool little story. I love to see movies made on home that are more than advertisement. Thx Granny, thanks HSM.

Good grief!!! Now that was horrifically fearfully funny.

Do I now know how to light up the place more? With a dance floor?
Surprises are nice and that video sure had one.
haha that was pretty funny
I don’t remember the strippers in the game! This is my favorite that you have done, so far. I love how you built it up, then turned it on it’s ear.
Oh Granny! This is great! It was a fun shoot and loved the idea of the whole thing. You really know how to use your imagination. hehe….fun
Very nice Granny.
This was one of the most fun shoots I’ve been on so far! Especially at the end when we were dancing to “The Monster Mash” and Burbie chimed in, singing like a little birdie! LOL Great fun!
This was great fun to watch, DG! I enjoy these stories you create and bring to life! Thanks for sharing it with us.
