HomeStation Announces the Postcard Art Contest Finalists

I’m very proud of HomeStation’s first art contest, and I thank all of you who chose to participate. All those great postcards…it’s a wonderful reminder on how cool Home actually is. Especially as I am currently on the road, promoting HomeStation Magazine in the HSM Winnebago! Today I was in Beaver, Indiana (three weeks out of the month Beaver is a great place to be in) when I got the Norse Code message that it was time to pick five postcards finalists for the next stage of the contest.
It was not a easy task; each one represented something great about Home. And art is a very subjective field, after all. So now it is your turn to pick the winners. Remember, there are two $20 PSN cards up for grabs, so please vote for your two favorite postcards. Votes will only be counted if they are received in the comments to this article. One vote per person, and only your first vote will be counted. Finalists are of course barred from voting for themselves. HSM editors (Norse, Terra, Jersquall and Cubehouse) are also barred from voting. HSM team members may vote, but HSM editors may not.
The voting window will close at midnight GMT, February 27. The two entries with the highest number of votes will each be awarded a code for a $20 PSN card! (Please note that prizes are limited to SCEA Home only.) Winners will be announced on or about February 28. In the event of a voting tie, I will serve as tiebreaker.

Michael Goss is the Art Director (emeritus) for HomeStation Magazine. In real life, is a normal member of the human species with some imperfections, but with a strength of ten as well, I kid ye not! He also has been know to exaggerate the details from time to time. His goal is to live fearlessly but finds that kinda difficult with current crop of republicans running for office.

Locust All Stars by Olivia Allin hits a home run with me. As Ernie Harwell would say, “It’s long gone!”
Pier Park by Littlepeddler reminds me of “Palisades Park” by Freddie Cannon and old past cards.
They’re all very good but baseball & music memories wins with me.

I see what you are saying tdarb. They need to take one of mine off that has less votes and replace with another entry from some one else. I only see four contestants listed. Or is it top five different postcards? LP
The finalist error has been caught and corrected. Due to the removal of the duplicate entry and the inclusion of what should have been the fifth finalist at the beginning, coupled with the fact that some of the voters have only registered one vote instead of two, we will allow anyone who already cast a vote and wishes to change it to do so *once.* If you have cast two votes, you may change one of them, but you may not change both of them.

What a hard decision! I’m very impressed by all the finalists. After much thought I cast my votes for Southern Island by Anamri and Pier Park by Littlepeddler.
after looking and thinking, and looking again, I have finally decided on my second. You guys did not make it easy.
Gotta go with Sorrow on this one. That paint effect is just awesome.

Wow this is next to impossible to choose, they are all such amazing examples and they all fit the criteria so well. I think I will go with Sorrow, and my second is Olivia, I love the black and white idea as a contrast to everyone else.
This is very hard, I like them all so much it took me two days to decide.

it does say that. I was a little confused about that too at first lol. If you loo at the sentence just before the blue text, that one vote is for your two favorite cards.
