Spotlight On: Club Incognito
by Burbie52, HSM team writer
With a new year now ahead of us, it is only fitting that I should interview a club that is all about having fun with your friends and being a good influence in the world we call Home: Club Incognito.
It was started about a year and a half ago by Yaheard2008ep, and he has been the driving force behind it ever since. It takes a lot of effort to run a club, and I applaud him for his tenacity; for without a great deal of care, clubs fall apart very easily.
The club’s basic premise is finding fun activities to do together both in Home and on the PSN, they play games together in both areas on a regular basis and sometimes even create games of their own to play in Home. Some of these events are public ones, but many of them are done within the privacy of their own clubhouses.
A few of the past events: Shoot A Noob, which involved the Heavy Strike cannon you can buy in the store and various constructed levels that you could shoot people off of. All the participants dressed in the classic blue Home t-shirts and took turns; there was a scoring system and the winners got ten-dollar PSN cards. Here’s a video, by Jersquall, about that event:
Another event: the flesh mob, where they all dressed scantily and streaked public spaces in Home en masse. This ended up being one of their most successful endeavors, as several bystanders joined in and they eventually filled more than one server with people all dancing and having fun.
Many of their events involve giving away PSN cards or Lockwood gift machine prizes. One rather special event, called open mic night, allows people to perform by singing or playing an instrument and receiving gifts for their performances.
I was recently invited to a Christmas party where we played, of all things, musical chairs! Where else but Home will you find a bunch of adults playing musical chairs like five-year-old kids at a birthday party? I must say, it was a fun event once it got started. Then the party moved on to another clubhouse where we danced and had more games, such as a lottery, where everyone was given a number secretly and then they were called periodically and someone who didn’t know the names of those who owned them chose one.
I found the name of the club to be unique, so I asked what the reasoning behind Incognito was.
“It’s all about doing good things for the community, but not seek recognition for our efforts. We aren’t looking for fame,” Yaheard2008ep said.
Incognito holds weekly meetings on Wednesday evenings, where they go over the past week’s events to get feedback, talk about the new ones coming up, and then cover the update that is coming on Thursday. With the recent shift in Home’s publishing schedule to Wednesdays instead of Thursdays, it remains to be seen how Incognito will respond.
Once the meetings end, the Incognito team goes out together into a public space like Sodium2 and play games together — excursions which they refer to as “expeditions.” They do this each week, and when it comes to team building and maintenance I believe it helps the cohesiveness of the group; everyone has to feel a part of something, not being dictated to by an owner.
There are several well-known denizens of Home in the club, and many have been in it since the start. Jersquall, Sephronia, Lsutigersfan72 (leader of the Hurricanes), Stephypeachez, King_of_Games30, gamer_316, BigMak43, destinysanctaur, tbaby2008, sogirlflybynight, rhondatommy, Christophersteve, minskey7, CalmDisaster and KittyPonderosa to name a few of the regulars.
When I say regulars it is because the club changes members, except for the sub-leaders, depending on their availability for the various events they throw. If someone wants to get in on one and another isn’t around, they shift them out; this works because many of the members are people who have other obligations within the Home community.
All of the people I have met in this club are dedicated to having a good time — and they succeed at it — but they are also very dedicated to being helpful in the Home community. For this reason, they have created and maintained a really nice website called Incognito-x.com. Here you will find a great deal of wonderful information about the free rewards available each week, the new updates and also information to help people keep up with what is new and happening within the community. There is also a great forum and support area to help sort out some of the issues we can all experience in Home.
They keep the website very up to date and I have found it to be a great resource to help my friends accomplish some of the recent quests that Sony had at the Winter Hullabaloo and the shopping quests as well. There is a gaming area on the site where members create their own games, like a recent one by Sophronia called “Spot the Difference.” It takes a lot of dedication on the part of members to keep this site updated and fresh each week; I for one am glad they do.
Club Incognito is a wonderful group of individuals who have taken the initiative to improve Home and have fun doing it, not only for their own members but also for the community at large. I was very happy to not only review this club but to be allowed to join it as a new member as well. I will continue to be one as long as I am able to contribute and help them as they serve our Home community.
On behalf of Incognito and it staff I would like to thank you Burbie and HSM for doing such a Incredible article on us.

Great coverage Burbie! You always manage to find some of the most interestng groups and people on Home. It’s always good to see groups who find their place in Home and find a real kinship there. Taking the tools Home has provided and doing something unique and creative with them is very inspired! My hat goes off to Incognito for that.
Of course… I do question the decision of a club who calls themselves “incognito” to come out publically like this.
LOL. I kid.
