It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like a Lockwood Christmas

Editor’s note: I’ll admit I’m a bit of a Christmas dork. I can’t help it – I live in New England, where it snows six months out of the year. So when any developer in Home decks the halls, I’m there fully supporting it with (Christmas) bells on.
Enter then, Lockwood.
As you can see by the following press release, they’ve tapped into the festive spirit, not only by turning the Lockwood Publishing Showcase into a winter wonderland, but by tapping into people’s spirit for giving with the Gift Machine. I’m thinking there is opportunity for someone to create a Home-ified A Christmas Carol machinima here. There’s festive gifts and new clothing for all available. Not only that, but there are cute, holiday Stitchkins available for purchase.
And there’s even a hot tub. Yes, you heard that right. Baby, it’s cold outside, indeed.
Lockwood is one of the developers who genuinely wants to know how their products are being received in Home, and their current poll is one such way of demonstrating they want to know what the community thinks.
(As an aside, did anyone else notice that Figment is getting an infusion of new items? Rather prophetic, no?)

Snow has fallen in the Lockwood Publishing Showcase, transforming it into a magical winter scene. Dance with Timmy the Gingerbread Man, marvel at the new festive Stitchkins and get a sneak peak at what Figment and Iron Fusion have in store for the future! As if that’s not enough, there’s a fantastic winter spa area where you can have a hot tub party with your friends, and a new batch of limited time rewards.
The latest additions to the Stitchkin family are Popsicle the Penguin and Pudding the Polar Bear. They may soon be inviting some cousins to stay for a short while – you’ll need to keep an eye on the Gift Machine so you don’t miss their arrival…
The first festive gifts have made their way into the Gift Machine, but it doesn’t stop there, check back each week for more holiday treats, including some companions exclusive to the Gift Machine!
Be prepared to strut your stuff on 15th December as the Runway is set to launch.
Figment have moved on to new heights – see what they’ve got on the horizon in one of the display rooms. Elegant new formalwear and much more are on the cards. And another amazing preview from Iron Fusion gives a taste of the technology of the future. Watch the Bot Builders at work and see if you can guess what they’re welding!
As you explore the new displays, pay attention to what Locky says. He’ll give hints and clues on how to achieve the rewards. Some of them may help, some may just confuse, but one way or another, they will eventually lead you to the rewards, just be sure to keep checking back in order to obtain everything.
