The Lockwood Empire Strikes Back: Introducing The Solar Fusiliers

Your galaxy needs you!
A few weeks ago, a bold Abyss Trooper unit were mapping an uncharted sector of space on behalf of Astra Corps. Several days into their mission, their communications with Astra Corps HQ ceased. No distress calls were placed, so Astra Corps remain hopeful that their team have merely strayed into a communications black spot.
The last unit sent to this particular sector also lost communication for several days, before returning to base ahead of schedule unharmed yet disoriented and with little memory of their experiences. Astra Corps are not ruling out the possibility of extra terrestrial intervention and have therefore embarked upon a major recruitment drive.
Their hardy infantry, the Solar Fusiliers are looking to swell their ranks by a few thousand. If you think you have the skill and diplomacy to talk your way out of a tight corner, as well as the strength and determination to dig deep on a tough mission, then Astra Corps needs you!

Talk with Norse for any length of time, and you’re bound to hear his theory on how based upon the design of their Sodium offerings – as well as many other non-Sodium items too – Lockwood has some epic backstory to it all and how we’ll all likely be blown away by it when they finally do release it. Is this little teaser finally a taste of that epic-ness? After all, there are some pretty creative minds at Lockwood; only a story that is blockbuster movie-worthy would do.
I’m sure that whatever it is, it will be most enjoyable. And even if nothing ever does happen in the form of a story for Sodium, et al, there’s still a lot of incredibly awesome things Lockwood has on offer to begin with to satisfy the fans. Norse may feel disappointed, but he can easily be consoled with Round Table Pizza, Olive Garden breadsticks, and some chocolate milk.
And let’s talk about that name for a moment – Solar Fusilier. There’s just something about it that rings of intergalactic empires and heroic adventures. I can practically hear the orchestral music rising in a climactic crescendo as I type this.
In all seriousness folks, who is excited for the Lockwood Publishing Showcase? You can be sure we here at HomeStation Magazine will be providing you extensive info as it becomes available. That said, it is coming from Lockwood, so you know it’s going to make your head explode with win when it’s finally released to the public.
‘Lockwood’ (and others like them) are the ‘real’ reason why I want to seriously consider getting into Machinema filmmaking. I really see Home as another storytelling medium.
Eventually, interactive holographic ‘virtual reality’ movies will become a real force to be reckoned with in entertainment. Can’t you picture where all this is going? It won’t be long now. Bell Labs was demoing the technology for this more than 15 years ago. Of course it involved wearing a cumbersome headset, but it was exciting!
i wish they would actually get into actual storytelling. home would be a great place for a “episodic” adventure game. especially with the way lkwd actually builds games for home. even though neither sodium or sodium2 have a storyline. but from what i can tell with the fun factor of both of the afore mentioned games, lkwd could be the ones to pull it off.
