LOOT Introduces Man’s Best (Virtual) Friends – Schnauzer Puppies and D.O.G. Robot Dog Companions

This week LOOT™ unleashes their secret weapon… PUPPIES!! How can you resist these furry little companions? The Schnauzer Puppy comes in three fluffy color choices. They sit. They scratch their ears. They even give their paw for a shake! Good puppy! Oh, and don’t worry, they come house-trained! (Available in both North America and European Home regions.)
Editor’s note: These little guys – especially the grey ones – remind me so much of a friend’s Schnauzers, Jose and Enzo. Awesome little dogs.
I am for the most part a cat person, yet I had two dogs growing up, and had read James Herriot’s tales of being a veterinary in Yorkshire; I was immediately enchanted by the stories of his canine patients. Managing a horse farm as I did, it was common for vets and trainers to bring their dogs with them, and from the Golden Retrievers to the Jack Russel terriers, they were all great dogs.
On top of that, ZOMG, how cute are puppies? You have to have a genuine heart of lead to walk into a pet shop and not turn into blubbering mush the moment you see an energetic, clumsy ball of fluff with a pair of the biggest brown eyes you’ve ever seen tumbling after a football chewtoy. And these little guys are no exception.
And let’s face it – in the real world, dogs (and their accessories) are a considerable money maker. Professional dog-walkers, doggie daycares, “bed and biscuit” inns for vacationers who want to bring their dogs with them, even boutiques catering to dogs and their owners exclusively (my little city has two and both are bigger than your average 7-11) are big trends in urban and even suburban life – and have been for some time. The possible opportunities presented by replicating some of these real-life aspects are endless. I expect these adorable little guys to be in SCEA’s and SCEE’s top-ten list for sure.
Will there be more breeds? I suspect so, given just how many there are out in the world, each with their own devoted following. Not to mention dressing up to the nines and having a Greyhound at my side for some Home gala event would totally be helping fulfill my personal Erté fantasies (hint hint).
And Coming Soon:
The LOOT™ Mad Scientists have labored away with microchips and do-dads to bring you the ultimate, fully trained companion. Meet D.O.G. This cute little guy will quickly become your favorite companion, because that’s what he was programmed to be. D.O.G. is available in five futuristic colors: RED, GREEN, YELO, BLU and GREY. See D.O.G. run. See D.O.G. Sniff. See D.O.G sit. Good D.O.G. (Also to be available in both North America and European Home regions.)
I cannot help but wonder just how many Mystery Science Theater 3000 fans they have on staff at LOOT, as that was the first thing I thought of when I saw the images for D.O.G. Bring yours into any one of the theaters in Home, and I dare you to not feel as if you’re in that show as you watch whatever is playing.
Furthermore, am I the only one who believes LOOT also had the Homelings in mind when they created these guys? Sure they’re not monochromatic, but still, these are a perfect companion to compliment any Klenting circle. They also look as if they’d double as a handy method for transporting probes and various other assimilation tools.
From satisfying your space-nerd needs, to creating virtual items in support of notable movie releases, LOOT has provided Home with some truly wonderfully weird items for purchase; who else would create a virtual item called “Octopoot?”
But don’t let their penchant for the odd fool you.
Think about it for a second; they made the very first personal space with a 24-hour simulation of a day cycle, they’re the first to implement any sort of in-Home personal entertainment system. Also, don’t forget the soundstage – whose use is only limited by your imagination.
It’s very clear LOOT has some clever things afoot; these companions are just the icing on the cake – yummy, delicious cake. And this cake is no lie.
omg..I want one…can they follow us around Home???theses are soooooooooo cute…..
From 1994 -- 2008 (RIP little buddy), we owned a Schnauzer who unfortunately died of cancer. This is a must purchase for me.
Too cute!! Now if they would only add a petting capability and let them sit in our laps at our personal spaces I would be in heaven!
well…i just bought a puppy..it is amazing how fast a $50 psn card goes these days.
Eat pie,cake is a lie…
