New Fashions From Lockwood

Courtesy of Alex Loffstadt, Outso Community Manager

Are you rugged, responsible and hard-working? Do you enjoy the weight of responsibility and the air of authority? If so, this week’s Lockwood catalogue update has got you in its sights; weighed, measured, assessed and ready for action.

After the recent Helgast visitation to Central Plaza, everyone could do with a little peace of mind; so why not increase the peace as a handy security guard? Perfect for patrolling any club space — or keeping the riff-raff out of a VIP event — the Perilward Security Guard Outfit has everything for the modern security professional: rugged boots and combat pants, heavy-duty torch, headset and Security T-shirt with ID tag.

In this week’s update:

  • Perilward Security Guard Boots
  • Perilward Security Guard Torch
  • Perilward Security Communication Headset
  • Perilward Security Guard Top
  • Perilward Security Guard Trousers
  • Perilward Security Guard Uniform

Editor’s note: This is really quite clever. Given the preponderence of clubs in Home, I’m going to go out on a limb and suggest that this is going to sell in very respectable numbers. Personally, I’d find it hilarious if, on April Fools’ Day, this became the official uniform of the Home Community Volunteers for 24 hours…

Will it be available in male and female? If so I’m so getting this.

  2. Coming Soon to Home:

    The Bouncer

I have a feeling a lot of guys are going to pick up chicks with this.

  3. crystal198 says:

I really hope this comes out for females too. If so, i am SO getting this. I wonder how many noobs will think people wearing this are ACTUALLY security guards for home.

  4. Dj_Tenchu says:

::hides stashed things better in boot::

  5. cthulu93 says:

Im sure there will b some ppl that will buy this then try 2 tell any1 that will listen that they are the security 4 (fill in the blank).I see no problem with it but it will open the person that takes it 2 seriously 2 much ridicule and laughter. The boot stash works 4 a once over search Dj but an in-depth search will find your cargo, best to swallow or ditch the evidence altogether, lol.

but seriously, this outfit is gonna be used to confuse n00bs by trolls. a lot. lemme give example:

troll: HEY! you your (fill in the blank) i’m home security and i’m going to ban your account

victim: oh nooooooooooo (in the voice of Mr. Bill)

      this is gonna be bad.lol

      • cthulu93 says:

Lmao, yeah i see that coming 2 but if any1 that has been on home awhile sees this go down they should do home a public service and expose the fraud 4 what it is.I believe this should b done in the most humorous way possible and im hoping i get the chance 2 do this at least once myself, lol.

  6. keara22hi says:

You need a male model volunteer to buy this package and wear it for pics in different locations around Home. Especially in combinations with other shirts. I really like those guard trousers and I can picture them with a hoodie or a jacket as well as the Security Guard shirt. Men in Home tend to be a lot tighter with a buck than the women so Lockwood needs to show how this one outfit can be mixed and matched to make about a dozen outfits. Then the HSM Forum needs a new topic: Men’s Fashions on a Budget

    • cthulu93 says:

Well honestly keara many of the guys clothes aren’t anything id wear in real life and i don’t like dressing my avatar in something i would not wear myself.Having said that i might wear some of these clothes the pants and boots are up my alley.

      • Dj_Tenchu says:

see i’m mostly opposite that. i only wear things that i would never wear in RL (real life). i mean how often in RL can i be a helghan? or a stormtrooper? or (random video game avatar here)? that’s one of my favorite parts of home, the ability to be things i’m not. it’s part of the fun. god knows, if i saw someone in an echosuit in RL, i’d call the guys in the white van…lol

        • cthulu93 says:

I understand the attraction 2 dress up your avatar but i just feel if i dress my avatar in an off the wall outfit or something that im uncomfortable in it will b used as ammo in any verbal altercation i may become involved in and if im not comfy wearing it i’ll have a hard time defending myself from attacks on my attire. If i don’t like what im wearing i might actually agree with the comments made if they r true.

    • Phreakishlygreen says:

      I’ll do it :p

<q cite="god knows, if i saw someone in an echosuit in RL, i’d call the guys in the white van…lol"

Would you be calling this van for them, or for yourself?

As for the costume itself, I expect much comedy gold from its use and should it also eventually spawn a female counterpart, please, please, please don’t make it pink.

    • Dj_Tenchu says:

for them. outside of battery park, i don’t think many would look at anyone dressed that way as sane. XD

nothing against the lings. <3 em. but in RL you just couldn't dress that way.

  8. As long as peeps don’t play vigilantism with these, they could be fun. And I certainly hope those who don’t aren’t aware of them think they are worn by SONY employees.
This could be interesting for sure. Might buy one myself… or might not.

  9. SealWyf says:

Predict that the headset and flashlight will be integrated into the Homeling dress code Real Soon Now. :)

Security shirt + Echochrome pants = new Sentinels uniform? Probably not (it’s black), but I can dream.

What do you MEAN there’s no female counterpart? Gah! Are we in the 1950’s or something? Get with the gender-equality program, people!

  10. cynella says:

I just hate to think how many people will be banned for

“m. Impersonating any person, including an employee of Sony Corporation, SCEA or any third-party;”

    • Terra_Cide says:

Well, cyn, I imagine that the people who do get banned for doing such a thing probably deserve to be banned, because if they didn’t try to attempt something on that level of stupidity, they would have done something of equal or greater stupidity to get banned anyways.

      • cthulu93 says:

Agreed, stupid ppl always find a way 2 get into trouble thats y there r so many warning labels on products nowadays. When u see a warning label that tells u something that seems soooo obvious that u wonder y they even bothered realize that some1,somewhere,at some time did w/e the label says not 2 do.Quite often despite the warning some1 even lower down the I.Q. ladder will do w/e the label warned them not 2 do.Then these bastions of idiocy are quite often rewarded financially 4 there inability 2 follow simple worded instructions by suing the manufacturers 4 making an unsafe product(Yes i realize there really r some truely unsafe things that ppl sue manufacturers 4,i’m not refering 2 those here.)thus giving them plenty of free time 2 continue and expand their bloodline of stupidity. The main point here is its best 2 let the stupid ppl that try 2 impersonate a sony employee get banned, hopefully 4 a long time i can’t feel sorry 4 any1 that tries that and gets busted, there r some things that r soooo obviously stupid 2 do that its best 2 take some1 that does them and put them away somewhere 4 their and our own good.
